Apparently he’s still the same bad actor.
Brought my mom to his practice over 10 years ago. After a colonoscopy, at the return visit he told us she had stage four cancer. When she (a 76 year old woman) politely asked him to elaborate, he leaned close to her face (as if she had hearing problems) and told her “Open your ears, sweetie-pie, you have terminal cancer” as he waved his hands by her ears as if they were clogged up. Honestly, he should count his lucky stars that I wasn’t “packing!”. She did pass about a half year later from this disease. I’m just now checking reviews to ascertain which doctor I should entrust my own screening colonoscopy with. Surprised to see this monster is still at it. Well, chalk it up to that law we passed here in Nevada some 20 years ago. If he was the only gastroenterologist practicing in Nevada I’d take a pass.

Horrible Dr
Dr Soot performed a routine colonoscopy on me. Perforated my colon which required an ostomy bag and reversal. During emergency surgery a polyp was found that he never saw during the colonoscopy. I came out of the colonoscopy in so much pain and the nurses and doctor attributed it to gas because he had to blow my colon up to get a better look. I wound up having 12 inches of my colon removed. Spent 4 days in the hospital. Total disregard of my symptoms in the surgical center, should have sent me directly to the ER. When I cancelled my follow up appointment the receptionist asked why and I told her he perforated me and she said “oh okay” Never heard from the doctor again except when I called and said I was in pain still from the colonoscopy and the nurse said the doctor said go to the ER. Would never step foot in this practice. Awful place

PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR LIFE IN THIS MAN'S HANDS!!!
Dr. Sood is an argumentative, uncaring, hugely irresponsible doctor. After being told by him that I had liver disease and needed a transplant, he 'referred' me out to a highly respected liver transplant center in California. After that 'good deed' as he referred to it, he closed the book on any further guidance, assistance, or recommendations for further testing, counseling, lifestyle changes, etc. Thank goodness I have the wherewithal to educate myself, and each and every time I had an office visit he had the 'why are you here' attitude. After several months of this non treatment, I looked him straight in the eye and said to him, 'so basically you are telling me to go home and wait for a transplant or die'. He responded by looking straight at me and responding 'yes'. To make matters even worse he then stated to me, 'Well, you did this to yourself'. I picked up my belongings and left his office immediately. Upon reading his notes from my visits I discovered absolute lies.

Sweetheart
Today I was treated like a fool! Dr. Sood was horrible to me and called me sweetheart over and over again like I'm a stupid woman who was clueless but if I had known the proper way, I would have done it right. Please treat people with respect and if we're doing it wrong it seems to me that maybe the instructions were not given properly, women don't like being called SWEETIE it's degrading, I would never call you anything but Dr. Sood.

Sorry No. Look elsewhere.
My first encounter with Dr. Sood was over the phone and he was rude and just did not want to listen to my concerns. The next encounter was on the day of my colonoscopy - he really needs a better attitude towards his patients but at this point in his career he will not change. I will say that his PA Megan and staff at the surgical center are wonderful. Very sad that he has clearly so much distain for his patients.

I’ve been with this doctor two times today is the second time that I’ve seen him and I was nervous to see him based on all of the reviews that I’ve seen on him. But to be quite honest he’s not bad at all he listens to our concerns and he answers our questions and tells us a reason why he’s ordering labs. The only thing that I do have to complain about is the waiting time before being called in but other than that he’s a great doctor.

Stay away
Condescending and rude to my elderly father trying to get help with his gallbladder symptoms. Dr. Sood basically yelled at my father for even being there when he tried to explain his symptoms and then rushed him out the door saying he couldn’t do anything. Time for this man to retire if this is how he treats his vulnerable patients.

The most unprofessional, unclean and ineffective experience with a specialist. Ignore the fact that every session required a 45+ minute wait. Dr. Sood was condescending, did not make any forward progress with treatment, and was a complete waste or time and money. Check his history with the medical board before visiting. Public information.
