Discharged patient without informing them. Patient was supposed to go to rehab after leaving the hospital, however insurance required discussion with doctor. He wouldn’t, had to go home until insurance could get explanation of condition and approve rehab. Patient was on blood thinner following surgery and developing blood clots, doctor failed to prescribe it at discharge. Patient’s spouse asked before leaving the hospital and nurse tried reaching doctor, but didn’t answer or return call, so patient had to wait to get prescription. Hospital is going to end up in a malpractice case because of this guy if they don’t get rid of him ASAP.

Completely Incompetent
Lied about time spent and actually charted incorrect times, all in room visits were recorded. Failed to send in order for PT, after back surgery which caused patient to lie in one position for over 30 hours post-surgery. When questioned, he completely dismissed needed equipment needed in room, pumps for leggings, walker and chalked it up to having to work with what was available. This will be taken to the TX Joint Commision as I felt the patients' health and well-being were needlessly compromised. How can a hospital employ someone who cares so little about the care of the patients?

Terrible
He could not have been more condescending and flat rude. He tried to refuse necessary treatment until I got specialists involved. For example, he told me "you can have the scope, but they won't find anything." What was found was ulcers causing my abdominal pain. Other diagnoses were given by the specialists I requested as well. He treated me, a heart attack patient with an autoimmune disorder, as if I was being a hypochondriac with nothing wrong. Providers like this have no business seeing patients.
