Dr. Rajesh Kukunoor, MD

Dr. K is a phenomenal oncologist. I am now 7 years cancer free, and the doctor has done tests every 6 months to ensure that the cancer has not returned. When I said I was worried about colon cancer returning, he told me not to worry, but let him do the worrying. Dr. Kukunoor always has a pleasant demeanor, and he always has time to answer any questions I have. The doctors he has recommended I see have been as dependable as he is. Dr. Kukunoor always goes above and beyond. There aren't many doctors who do that anymore. Thank you, doctor, for caring so much for your patients.

If you are searching for a Board Certified Oncologist , this is the guy ! Our PCP recommended him. He is truly outstanding. Dr. Kukunoor listens well and truly works to find the best treatment options based on the evidence. I trust and respect his knowledge and experience. My PCP was spot on !

At the first appointment, well over three years ago, Dr. Kukunoor told me he was sort of a quarterback who directed his team as to my treatment. Well, I am still here, alive and well. He is an intelligent, careful doctor and a decent man. He was always ready to answer questions, even when he was short on time. In 2009, a tumor was discovered on my liver. That is when I met Dr Kukunoor. He thoroughly explained everything, listened to my concerns and fears, gave me positive, caring support throughout treatment and in the following years. I saw him recently for my 10 year cancer free appointment! He rejoiced with me. I can't say enough great things about this wonderful, caring doctor. Thank you, Dr Kukunoor!

Dr. Kukunoor has been my dad's Cancer Dr. for over 15 years or so. Dr. K helped my dad beat Colon Cancer and then Dr. K helped him beat Prostate Cancer and just recently, Dr. K helped him beat a rare Melanoma Cancer under his thumb. Dr. K knows what he is doing and has the greatest bedside manner. He will spend time with you answering your questions and even repeating himself without irritation or annoyance. As much as I hope we never see him again, I know that if we ever need a Cancer doctor I know who to call.

My experience with Dr. Kukunoor has been a very positive one. I've been his patient for several years now as my cancer is very slow to progress. He's very knowledgeable. Due to a variety of health issues, I have had several doctors. Dr. Kukunoor is easily my favorite doctor and I’ve been seeing him since 2013 for colon cancer. He always listens to me and patiently answers my many questions. I also like his entire team which includes reception, appointments, billing, chemo nurses, assistants, test professionals… they all are great. I feel like I’m with family when I’m there for an appointment and I insist on being with people I like.

Everybody’s been great! Everybody is accommodating, friendly, and has a smile on their face.

They’re very caring and knowledgeable. Dr. Kukenoor and Mrs. Keegan are concerned for their patients. They’re trying to take care of you in the best way they know how. We feel very fortunate that we got Dr. Kukenoor and Mrs. Keegan for our cancer care. Both never seem rushed. They explain everything so we can understand all of the medical jargon.

We’ve been happy. The nurses are fabulous and helpful.

It’s been a good experience. They physicians I’ve dealt with have been extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Kukenoor spends time with me to make a joint decision between me and him. Everybody’s been excellent. People have asked me, “Why aren’t I at Mayo?” and I say, “I don’t want to be at Mayo. I’m right where I need to be.”

I have been a patient since 2007 for breast cancer post treatment follow-up. Dr Kukunoor is an excellent physician. I have found him to be kind, smart, and knowledgeable. I have seen other oncologists in TX for brest cancer treatment. Dr Kukunoor is one of the best.

Dr. Kukunoor and his staff at Ironwood in Scottsdale are efficient, caring, and concerned for my well-being. The excellence at Ironwood is on every level from check in, radiation treatment, to scheduling, to triage when you have a question, pharmacy staff, and of course the nurses. If I knew of someone who had cancer and needed treatment I would definitely recommend them. You'll be happy with the level of care you get here.

The nurse staff is fantastic! I’m not an expert at doctors but I’d recommend him in a heartbeat to anybody including my own mother. The front desk is caring and that means a lot for me. Since I’ve got sick I’ve found that means a lot. The facilities are great; everything is clean and comfortable. It’s a great place.

All of the staff at Ironwood are really great. Erica has been wonderful. I feel well taken care of. Julie the volunteer in the chemo lab has been a little, bright ray of sunshine when I go in there.
