Dr. Rajeswari Muthuswamy, MD

Came here with no choice, she talked to me for only 10 minutes and did not listen to A WORD I SAID. I keep on telling her that I am okay and she still continues to say i’m not and as soon as I start talking back she starts mumbling and stuttering. None of my questions were answered and was a total waste of my time because it only made my problems worse for me. I have never been happier to leave a room and never speak to someone ever again. Because of her, I’m not getting the proper education that I need and I have to do unnecessary things that are going to cost an insane amount of money. If you have trouble controlling your anger, NEVER go here because you’ll make it worse for yourself, I tried containing myself but it did not help. I’m forever scarred from this woman and I will never forget today.

She diagnosed our daughter during her teenage years. Excellent doctor—patient, insightful, professional. Because of insurance reasons, we had to move on to other drs, but she was, by far, our favorite.

Dr. Muthuswamy was kind, informative, and direct. Some reviews say she discussed diagnosis in front of child, but that was not true to my experience.

Our experience left myself and my child traumatized! Beginning with unwelcoming, rude, and unprofessional demeanor by this doctor! Doctor seemed to rush through the appointment. She asked my 6 year old questions with a reprimanding almost a barking tone. She didn’t even try to establish any rapport with him. Then she quickly rushed us out of the office without much explanation or answering any questions. Her findings were unsubstantiated!

Terrible experience! In order to get an IEP for my son (age 5 at the time) we saw her as a last minute change from the school. Not only were her findings way off (she exaggerated behaviors he demonstrated at our meeting) but she did NOT know how to talk and interact with a 5 year old boy. When we asked to speak privately with her she insisted he stay in the room and listen so that he could see us talking to her and that he would internalize that and then feel comfortable speaking with her. Do you know how terrible it feels discussing the negative issues your child has while he’s right there? The whole experience was awful! Plus she kept taking personal calls from her daughter during our meeting! After the meeting she forgot to email me the assessment form about my son to fill out that needed to go to the school. I had to email and call her about it. Then she never provided us with her findings! Instead we got a copy and first look at our IEP evaluation meeting! I will never recommend!

I have had the privilege or working with Dr. Muthuswamy both professionally and personally over the course of many years. She is an extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and insightful medical professional. In my experiences with her, diagnoses of and recommendations for children, adolescents, and adults are spot on accurate. Her responses to phone calls are within 24 hours, and usually faster than that! I have recommended and would recommend prospective patients to her without reservation.

Do NOT RECOMMEND!! Baseless findings, does not meet needs of patient and has no quality, professional assessments and recommendations. Her consult notes are worse than medical students and has no substance! I know this because l’ve worked in Healthcare for 33 yrs. Took her 27 days after the initial 10 minute visit to transcribe the consultation note!

My experience with Dr, Muthuswamy, is she wait days to return phone calls for the following; 1. Medication problems with insurance company refills. 2. Medication problems with side affects of medication. 3. Does not return pharmacy calls for refills.
