Disappointed
Dr. Roy was very dismissive of my symptoms of hypergonadism. I was pretty miserable and depressed. I had multiple symptoms. He ordered an incomplete blood test evaluating my total testosterone levels and didn't bother to look at my free testosterone. I had one test show total level at 250 and a second test at 350. He evaluated only the test at 350 and concluded I was normal for my age. He told me that he wasn't going to be a conduit for me to abuse testosterone like that was my agenda. I got a 2nd opinion outside of my insurance and found out my free testosterone was alarmingly low. I started TRT and my life has changed dramatically for the better. I'm happier and not depressed. I'm motivated and feel strong and I'm much happier. I think TRT has dramatically improved my quality of life. Dr. Roy was content for me to continue to spend the remainder of my life miserable. I'll never go to this guy for anything and I recommend you consider a different doctor.

Brillant MD
Prior to my visit, Dr. Roy had looked at the most recent medical data on my complex thyroid condition. Initially, doctor provided me with a thorough physical examination. He then spoke to me about his conclusions, and implications thereof. His assessment of my condition was very enlightening and confidence inspiring. Were it possible I'd give him > 5 stars.

Dr. Roy has a very traditional approach to medicine. I will be looking for another endocrinologist who takes more of a wholistic attitude toward the patient and who takes the patient’s lifestyle and non-medication treatment into consideration.

Dr. Roy took the time to answer all my questions while reassuring me that he is qualified and problem i was there to see him about will get under control. He was relatable and kind. It was apparent he cares about his patients and people feeling well

I saw Dr. Roy in the Del Mar location and couldn't have been happier. He was very thorough and took the time to answer all of my questions. He also didn't mind that my husband participated in the consultation via phone. He came up with a very reasonable treatment plan and made sure that I was comfortable with the plan. He also followed up as soon as he got my test results. I couldn't ask for a better doctor.
