Absolute nightmare
I saw him 3 years ago & he knew nothing about Sarcoidosis. He acted like my diagnosis was wrong, rushed my appointment, did not do any physical exam, very rude & abrupt like I was wasting his time. Now I have to see him again to get my infusions because my doctor has left the practice. I am terrified!!!!! I need my infusions & the pain medicine to get through them. I am one week late & I see him tomorrow. I pray he listens & just doesn't change anything but continues my infusions, since I've been getting them for 8 years. I will update this post tomorrow.

Absolutely horrible.
Absolutely horrible-- I saw him for over three years while I was at college and needed an in-state rheumatologist to coordinate my care. He made it clear the entire time he saw me that he didn't believe my original doctor's diagnosis and was constantly trying to take me off my medications. Now, finally, he has succeeded, taking me off my life-changing infusion only days before my next treatment. His recommendation for treatment going forward? "Try some anti-inflammatory medication like Ibuprofen". This doctor smiled and nodded as I described the daily pain that I experience, only to tell me that he will not do anything else for me and usher me out. Please, if you have anything but a textbook case of your condition, look elsewhere for care or expect him not to believe anything you say.

Terrible, and a waste of money. I had the distinct impression that he was not believing me when I was explaining about my condition, like I was crazy. He ordered a few blood tests. When I went back for the results, what he said to me was "I can't help you, it was nice meeting you" and he walked out! I had to pay for an office visit for that? I would have given zero stars if I could have.

I have not had a good experience with Dr. Thiele. I don't feel like he ever listens to what I have to say and it always seems like he has some where more important to be. He kept trying to put me on a medication that wasn't helping and was causing horrible migraines. He wouldn't consider some medications because I am a woman, even though I told him I don't want the have children and I would sign something if necessary. Every visit I would ask about biologics and he would say "we'll talk about those next time". Every time I reported a new symptom, he didn't seem to care. I feel like I've wasted time when I could have been getting real help and getting better.

I have only had telemedicine appts - Dr. Thiele listens to everything I report and does not disregard my comments or questions. He is patient, very thorough, and seems to really care. He is also willing to explore all options to determine cause/reasons for symptoms. I would highly recommend Dr. Thiele. He is also very prompt for appointments and follows up quickly/as promised.
