Outstanding i every way
I was referred to Dr. Damiano from a cardiac interventionist in Columbia, MO for a mitral valve replacement. Dr. Damiano was warm, caring, explained precisely what was needed. I could not be more pleased with the outcome. I would recommend him, without reservation, to anyone needing the same or similar procedure. He gave me the chance to live well once again. I am looking forward to truly living life to its fullest and it is all thanks to him and his team.

Constrictive pericardium
His exceptional care and thoroughness speak for themselves! Dr Damiano did an excellent job on my recent surgery. His staff including his nurse Nicole are excellent! He also stayed in contact with my cardiologist Dr Jain.

Knowledgeable and skilled surgeon, but if you have complications that are not directly related to your recent surgery he will not take care of you. He will let hospitalist at the hospital take care if you, and he will not be involved in your care. I believe if he had even once looked into my complication, he would have known what was going on. I also believe I could have been spared the life threatening complication that followed my surgery. Disappointed in the surgeon mentality.

I feel fortunate to have been treated by this outstanding cardiothoracic surgeon who performed minimally-invasive surgery on me six weeks ago. He repaired a severely leaking mitral valve in addition to afib correction during the surgery and both procedures appear to have been very successful. I would highly recommend this physician to anyone anywhere. We live over 250 miles from Barnes Hospital in St. Louis but would have traveled even further for his expert care!
