Dr. Rama Palwai, MD

Recommended by PCP for unknown excruciating pain over entire body. 1st time in Dr Palwai’s office with tears in my eyes and no empathy whatsoever. More interested in training someone than listening. Had to call for a follow up visit before actual appointment due to still being in pain. Once again training PA’s come in, told blood work negative then Palwai comes in with no bedside manner asking where’s the pain. She touches on a few spots on my body, says something to the PA’s, suggests a few exercises, physical therapy, and meds and then leaves the PA’s to try to explain or console me with no explanation to my issues!If you are in pain and experiencing the unknown, this Dr is definitely not the dr for you!Definitely looking for another dr!

Dr Palwai has been an amazing doctor. She has treated my RA for years. She helped me arrive to a medication combination that has worked well to hold off the flare ups. She’s kind and a great listener! I would definitely recommend her.

I have been seeing Dr Palwai for several years. I am immuno-compromised, so can’t take many of the medications for Rheumatoid arthritis. She has been able to keep things under control, she is the only medical person that is able to put the shots in the bursa near my knees at the exact right spot, and is now treating me for trigger finger problems, as well. She is a thinker, as other people have said, but as she gets to know you and your specific diagnosis, she becomes very friendly. She is easily accessible. At times the office is busy, but that is rare. I worked in medicine for years and it is true that doctors have to document checkups for medication to the insurance company and other medical watchdog agencies. I would highly recommend her.

The office is efficient and we'll run. Dr. Palwei has worked conservatively and methodical to relieve symptoms of RA. We are now at a point I never believed possible, I feel great.

Dr. Palwai and her staff have been very professional and courteous. Waiting time at the Woodlands office has been minimal. Most importantly, her diagnosis was accurate and her prescribed treatment protocol has been very effective.

I've been seeing Dr. Palwai for 2 years and she's great. I never have to wait long, and she is responsive to my needs. She also directly responds online to questions. I've had her prescribe medications when I was in a flare just by contacting her through the portal. She's a thinker, which I like. When you talk to her, she's thinking about the impacts of other illnesses, which some people may view ask cold. Also, her staff is great in The Woodlands. I go there for monthly infusions and it is always a pleasure.

She is the first doctor who took the time to listen to me and figure out what was truly wrong. I'd been suffering for years with wrong diagnoses and Dr. Rama Palwai gave me a proper diagnosis and I'm doing better. She also is very quick to respond if you send her messages through her patient portal. She actually responds herself! I also love her staff. They take the time to talk with you. My 2-hour infusions are actually a pleasure rather than torture! :)

Melissa, the front desk clerk, was very unprofessional to the point of being hostile when I stated my father had not received a reminder phone call for his appointment, as if they could not have made a mistake. Never mind the fact we showed up for an appointment that I personally scheduled today that had not been put in the system. The doctor was very dismissive when speaking to my father about his symptoms and acted as if she didn’t want to touch him. The entire experience was disappointing!!!

Her staff is very friendly and Dr.Palwai is very professional and caring. She takes her time to listen and to explain and answer any questions you might have. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

After the first visit my wife and I were thinking about finding another doctor. After the second we decided to stay for a while and now I wouldn't trade Dr Palwai for anyone. Once you understand how she thinks, she is fabulous. He staff is on the ball. They are the most efficient office I have ever seen on top of being kind, professional, and generally happy even after putting up with whiny patients all day.

190 characters! Here goes: specialty pharmacy called me they need refill and Dr. declined said must come in for followup. Called Dr. said nothing new to discuss don't want to spend $75 just to get refill. Dr. office said my insurance requires visits for medicine approval. Called insurance and medication approved for life; they don't require documentation of visits. Called Dr. again and busted them in lie. They said well Dr. needs to see you for many reasons.I said you gave 1 and it was a lie.

She gave me a steroid injection for my swelling/pain for my joints and prescribed Prednisone for it as well. She answered all my questions and I left with the care that I was expecting. Both the staff and Doctor were polite. I will continue to see her regarding my joint flare ups.

I have been a patient of Dr. Palwai about 18 months. I had previously been a patient of another rheumatologist for over 15 years and decided it was time for a change. Dr. Palwai has been a real blessing. She has identified some addional medical problems that had been overlooked previously. She is very caring, answers my questions, and is easy to talk to. I'm very happy with her and the people in the office!

The Best Doctor in town. Extra care, taking time to explain. each and every step. Feeling blessed. Doctor and staff on time and top of everything.
