Absolutely HORRIBLE
MPC closed down and I was referred here. After receiving facet injections every 3 months at MPC, I assumed my care would continue since he had my complete health record. Nope, told me my hamstrings were tight, made me do 6 weeks of physical therapy (ended up being 10 weeks) and refused injections. Stated it was due to insurance restrictions. I had already gone through all of the insurance hoops at MPC and just needed an MRI and continue my injections. Told me after 6 weeks therapy he would order MRI, didn’t order until December. Pushed opioids on me and told me my only option was surgery. Surgeon said not ready for surgery, sent me back to him for injections. Was scheduled at G-ville but never asked what works for me-PA saw me but didn’t know why since she doesnt do inj. Sent to EBL next day, told me I had $600 ded which I know I didn’t then he told staff to tell me he would not treat to me & find another doctor. Got his money in copays for therapy though! Horrible Dr.! DON’T GO HERE!

Processional and actually listen to pain complain
Very thorough and detailed specialist. Referred by nephrologist for pain in back. Progressed as disease has progressively to unable to walk, renal osteo dystrophy, shoulders crumbling and pitted. Dr. Rahimi and Ashley have been able to give me pain relief with a terribly painful body! I give. the practice five plus stars.

Horrible service
Even with a test that proves I'm in pain. I'm still subject to be treated like an addict. Please do NOT GO HERE. TAYLOR is also rude and ashley is fake. They don't genuinely care. The entire staff is rude. Yes, I slipped up taking more then suppose to, but I have serious back issues with addiction attached to my name. After this I did all recommended follow up. Doing my 15 norcos oppose to 90 when I first started. I have sjorgens and herniated disc in c5 and c6. They refused to bump me up. Mind thus is after me following rules after. It just sucks. Plain sucks. No wonder people are dying from heroin overdose. It's ppl like them who push them. I however will not be pushed. 8 years clean and still labeled all from one mess up. Oh and their schedulers suck.

Very experienced, compassionate, smart, and skillful would all describe Dr. Rahimi. He is one of the best doctors around here. I've been struggling with pain for awhile and through his practice I have finally found relief, something that is taken for granted when you don't have pain. I definitely would recommend him and his practice to anyone that needs help with pain and rehabilitation.

Dr. Rahimi deserves a ten star rating! His care, compassion, wisdom and skill are second to none. I have endured lower back pain due to a degenerative disc for 17 years and after trying everything from yoga to a tens unit and everything in between, I had pretty much decided to just "gut it out" for my remaining days. But my husband had been treated by Dr. Rahimi for opthalmic shingles and received so much help for the terrible pain that he was experiencing, that I decided to also give him a try. The morning after my first visit, I woke up pain for for the first time in 17 years. He had given me an injection which was like a miracle. And then a back brace to use when I was on my feet a lot, and the right medication. Plus recommending physical therapy. Thankfully I am now doing what my PC told me when my disc problem was first diagnosed, i.e. "don't stop living." I haven't stopped, but so thankful that now I can do it with very little or no pain or discomfort.

I think he is extremely good at what he does. He's very easy to talk to. Extremely understanding. The biggest issue here is my appointment time didn't get written down in the book. I still managed to get seen. And another time my appointment card had a different time from what was in the book. Had to wait over 2 hrs. But really that's the only issue. Dr. Rahimi is great though.

I came into Dr. Rahimi in June, 2019, after being in and out of pain clinics for low spine problems since 2005. Rahimi is conscientious, kind, and willing to try new things as they become approved by the FDA. He gives you OPTIONS. He set me up with several snazzy braces to support my problem areas. He is THE best at spinal injections, I could barely even tell he'd done them he was so fast and efficient. I was on heavy narcotics for years, when Doc introduced me to Suboxone. There are no highs and lows, no cravings. Detox is pretty simple, and lasts just a few days. I had to have surgery in January, 2020 to repair a prior surgery, and fuse another level in my lumbar spine. I had bone on bone that was causing a stress fracture in my L4 vertebra. I attribute Dr. Rahimi for keeping me going during the most painful time of my life. It is 5/4/2020, and I am narcotic free, after 15 years. I'm not pain free, but I'm excited to be well enough to say goodbye to 15 years of drugs. Thank you.

Excellent doctor and office. I’m a chronic pain patient who’s tried other Grand Rapids’ doctors and has been disappointed by them, to say the least. Rahimi is bright, polite and a good doctor.

I was very anxious at my first visit to West MI Rehab and Pain Center but the kindness of Dr Rahimi and his medical assistants helped me. As a retired RN who worked over 25 years at two different hospitals I was shocked when Dr Rahimi escorted me to meet his office based physical therapist showed me the indoor therapy pool then showed me to the bathroom (most of the hospital Doc' were rude and condescending to the nurses). Dr Rahimi has used many different kinds of treatments to help me at his office, so I don't have to travel to other offices. Thanks to West MI Rehab and Pain Center, Dr Rahimi, physical therapists Cody, Jim and the office staff my pain is much better! Earleen L

Dr Rahimi has been the best pain dr that I have seen in West MI. His program is not about injections and pain pills. He offers rehabilitation programs to help you become more functional or to get you to your best functional state. Dr Rahimi employs various types of treatments and therapy to help you function better. I know I will never be pain free but thanks to Dr Rahimi and his staff I am better today then when I first came (that’s huge as I had seen several pain drs before I found him). I would highly recommend Dr Rahimi for anyone suffering from chronic pain. Bridget, GR

I’m going to Rahimi because he actually helps control my pain. I like him because he listens to me. He’s probably the best pain doctor I’ve been to, and I’ve seen a lot of them around Grand Rapids. Most of them are jerks.

The physical therapy did nothing to alleviate the pain I was experiencing, the office was in general poorly cleaned and disorganized, and the treatments I received from Dr. Rahimi were of no help. At one point he tried acupuncture, and it was clear he was not competent to do so - the needles all fell out part way through (but he was happy to charge me , all the same).

Dr. Rahimi place on the East Beltline was very dirty. The carpet is badly stained and it smelled like stale smoke in the building. The office I was sent to after and hour and a half of waiting was not clean. The floor had paper on it. Just a very dirty place. He wanted me to come back but after careful consideration, I cancelled my next appointment and will not be going back to that filthy place ever again. He diagnosed my problem by pressing on my back and not reading an X-ray.

Dr. Rahimi is a very caring and knowledgeable doctor. My daughter had seen a few doctors for her upper back condition and had received long periods of Physical Therapy in the past without much results. However, after just one session with this Doctor she received complete relief. He also took time to answer all our questions and provided further recommendations and treatment suggestions for the future. I highly recommend this doctor.

I don't know about the level of care a patient receives by the doctor himself, but an employee of ours has been waiting for weeks for his office to submit the paperwork she needs to finish her disability claim and can't get them to respond! AND they charged her $25.00 to do it!!! Since they are a "pain clinic" you would think they would be on top of any and all disability claim paperwork but apparently not!
