Dr. Ramon Mendez, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Mendez for 2 years. It is nice to go to a doctors appointment and the actually know who you are and how your condition is progressing. He has changed my life in a very positive way and is helping me prolong my kidney function.

Dr Mendez is an 'out of network (OND) ' doctor. Not knowing that originally, I had much apprehension when HE told me that. Yes, HE answered the phone and explained the ramifications of working with a OND. I quickly learned you don't go through a phalanx of: push this button and stay on hold for 20 minutes; a phone answerer more interested in your insurance than what your problem is; or an AI bot that starts the impersonal relationship from the first call. I was also concerned about reimbursement claims to MEDICARE. There is a small out-of-pocket-charge, but the process is seamless. Avoiding the onerous conditions and limitations of a monolith Med Group is well worth the small personal expense. Dr. Mendez is my most favored doctor. We've met five times . He is honest, consoling, and thorough. HE CALLS ME when he senses I need support. I trust his decisions with my life. His staff of only one 'boy wunder' keeps his charges to a minimum.I recommend Dr Mendez without reservation.

Dr Mendez is thorough and listens attentively to what you have to say. He is not in a hurry and takes time to answer all your questions. I recommend him wholeheartedly.
