Dr. Rand Mundo, DPM

I had surgery done by Mundo When he had practice in Hilo Hawaii. He added 2 screws that were not called for. (validated by 2 other drs I had consultations with after the surgery) My cross over toe is more crossed over since that surgery. He also had to cut a ligament after surgery to try and correct the screw up. It did nothing more than add scar tissue. He is not a good surgeon. Also referred his patients to his wife's store for shoe purchase. Not too ethical I would say. I might be wrong... but he measured for shoe insert while I was sitting in chair. I think it should be measured with body weight to judge correct angle of correction for insert. Inserts never made my feet feel any better. Stay clear of this person...not sure why he left Hawaii. But I can make an educated guess.

I have no problem with Dr. Mundo, he is a fine foot doctor and helped with a heel problem I have. There was a major problem with no communication between Dr. Mundo and the receptionist, causing everyone including me to wait a long time to be taken care of. This is very unprofessional and needs to change.
