I recently underwent rotator cuff and bicep tendon repair surgery with Dr. Troop and his team at Plano Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, and the experience exceeded my highest expectations. From the moment I first consulted with Dr. Troop, he and his team provided clear guidance on what to expect before, during, and after the procedure. Their surgical skill and outstanding aftercare instructions made all the difference in my recovery.At my latest follow-up, they said I’d progressed so well that they didn’t need to see me at the six-month mark. My response was, “You all did a FANTASTIC job, and that’s what made it easy for me to get through the recovery so well!” Their professionalism, technical expertise, and compassion were evident every step of the way.While I hope I never need another surgery, Dr. Troop and his team will be my first and only recommendation if the need arises. They truly set the standard for excellence in patient care.

Dr Troop was to the point with possible diagnosis of my should pain. He took the next step ordering an MRI to be sure of diagnosis before treating just to relieve my discomfort. Physical exam of arm was done. Dr Troop’s team was efficient and cover in detail my XRays.

Dr. Troop is knowledgeable and experienced. He’s kind, has a great staff, and is a superior doctor. He successfully performed my rotator cuff surgery.

Very efficient staff, quickly got in to see the doctor, and had a great visit with Dr. Troop. He was quick, to the point, and provided what I believe to be an excellent diagnosis and plan.

Dr. Troop did my shoulder surgery and I couldn't be more pleased. To the point in a warm and friendly manner! From his initial evaluation to the last post-surgery examination, everything was perfection, including his entire staff. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, but if it needs to be done, Dr. Troop is your guy!!

good care but very disappointing that they tell me that I need pain medication and they don't give me anything that I have to wait 6 weeks for that which worries me because I will have 6 weeks of pain for no reason

A month ago, I underwent ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair surgery performed by Dr. Troop. I am pleased to say that my surgery was successful, and I have been feeling better since then. Dr.Troop and his team have provided exceptional care throughout this period. Dr.Troop consistently attends my follow-up appointments, demonstrating his commitment to my recovery. I would like to express my deepest appreciation for Dr Troop and his staff Jamie and the others. Everyone I interacted with at his facility provided a white glove experience. I recently experienced a shoulder injury and was in a lot of pain and discomfort. The first Dr I saw for my issue (Not Dr Troop) was very eager to sell me a surgery, and provided no other suggestions at all to address my injury. I asked my Chiropractor for a referral so I could get a second opinion, and she suggested Dr Troop as it was who her family personally uses.  Dr Troop reviewed my XRAYS and MRI's and evaluated my injury and personal situation and he did not feel that a surgery was the right choice for me at this time, taking into account all of the various factors. He suggested a conservative approach, consisting of shot, some medication and physical therapy. I am 4 weeks out from my initial visit with Dr Troop and I have 3 weeks of physical therapy completed and 1 more week to go. My shoulder is fixed!

This Dr and the PA and everyone in between was amazing.

As always, I can count on Dr. Troop to be able to accurately diagnose my issue, which was a hard fall on my knee. Everyone at Plano Orthopedic are very professional and warm. In my case. Troop was aggressive in getting my infection & swelling under control thru meds. Furthermore, if you are needing knee surgery, like a meniscus tear, there's nobody better in this field than Troop, plus he truly cares about you and your well-being.

An all-around bad experience with my knee surgery. Appointments were always late, most lasted 5 minutes, and he was never prepared. My knee still hurts over 2 years later.

This is my second time to see Dr. Troop for treatment. He is a world class surgeon. Treated first for should and now we are on to a knee repair.

Dr Troup diagnosed issue, had a plan, and was correct in his thought, and the issue is resolved for now. When it returns, I'll be checking back with him first.

Everyone in the office is great. Just needed another shot but his PA listened to my concerns and questions and we have a plan!
