One big mistake changed everything
I had Dr. Woodworth as my physician for many years. During that time he was a good physician with a kind manner and I trusted him completely. A few years ago I had an upper respiratory infection that wasn’t going away easily so Dr. Woodworth prescribed Levofloxacin, an antibiotic. About 2/3 of the way through treatment I was waking up at night, screaming in pain from both of my upper arms. The right one was especially severe. Not knowing what was causing it, I continued my antibiotics. When I finally looked up Levofloxacin on the internet I found that the FDA had issued a Black Box Warning for it in July of 2008 because it caused severe tendon rupture, especially in older people (I was in my 60s). I have not been able to use my right arm properly since that prescription. I’m in pain constantly, I cannot sleep on my right side, and my arm feels detached at the bicep. My life is permanently ruined and so is every retirement plan I had. This dr. should’ve known better.

Dr. Woodworth has been my doctor for nearly 30 years. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be his patient. He "knows his stuff" and his "bedside manner" is the ultimate in patient-centered care. He will give you the time you need on any given visit so he may run a little late on appointments but I can never get irritated because I know when he is running late, there is a patient with him that needs the care and concern he has ALWAYS shown me. 10 stars out of 5!!! **********
