Lumbar fusion
Dr. Nasser is the ultimate physician who cares for the whole person. He is extremely knowledgeable, an expert in his field, a leader of up and coming neuro surgeons. His bedside manner exemplifies compassion and heactively listens to your concerns. Not long ago I had a lumbar fusion that was a success due to Dr. Nasser and his team. It changed my present painful condition and I feel saved me from deteriorating heath filled with pain and disability. I would recommend him without reservation.

Non Invasive Back Surgery
Dr Nasser is one of the most caring physicians I have ever known. He explained the procedure and answered all my questions. I was able to go home the same day and there was very minimal pain or discomfort. I did not need to take any pain medication. Before surgery I could not walk without a cane and even had a hard time with the cane. I was able to walk the night after surgery without any assistance.

There are not enough great words to describe Dr. Nasser. He came highly recommended by every one of my doctors. He changed my life. I lived with pain in my spine for years due to stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis. He operated on me to repair a previous fusion (done by different surgeon) and he built a second above that site. He is the only surgeon that was right by my side when I woke from surgery. He is a great listener and so sympathetic. He gives you a treatment plan and you will trust him implicitly. In one year’s time I went from a walker and wheelchair to dancing the polka!

AMAZED
I was diagnosed with a cyst on a nerve in my back. The pain had been getting progressively worse and was radiating from my back to feet and made it virtually impossible to perform daily activities. I was referred to Dr. Nasser who after reviewing my MRI said he would be able to eliminate the pain via a minimally-invasive, outpatient surgery. Dr. Nasser calmly explained the surgery and patiently answered all my questions. I had the surgery and literally 2 days later my pain was gone. I had gone from a pain-filled hunched over patient using a walker to walking pain free and without the walker. For good measure Dr. Nasser performed a laminectomy to ease the spinal stenosis I have had for years. Dr. Nasser also has a personal touch and cares about you as a patient. I unequivocally recommend him without any reservation. I am amazed at how well this procedure has gone with Dr. Nasser’s expertise.

Dr. Rani Nasser
My first appointment with Dr. Rani Nasser was for a second opinion. I was given 3 choices for a L4-L5 disc herniation by another reputable surgeon with no clear recommendation. Despite my nursing background, I was so overwhelmed and confused. Dr. Nasser reviewed my MRI, explaining in depth his recommendation. He listened and answered all of my questions with kindness and genuine concern. With confidence, I scheduled a minimally invasive lumbar microdiscectomy. Surgery in 2 weeks. No rods. No screws. One small incision. Outpatient. Sign me up! Today, I am just over two weeks post surgery. The results have been nothing short of amazing. I am literally walking miles around my community. My strength is returning and we are planning our next hiking trip. Dr. Nasser is the ultimate medical professional, an expert in his field while offering patient-centered care with compassion and understanding. I am so grateful to Dr. Nasser and his entire medical team. Thank you!

He gave me my life back!
I had a failed L4 and L5 fusion from another Dr that caused debilitating pain. Dr Nasser did a revision surgery and fixed me. I have not experienced any pain (other than my incision) since before my surgery. I’m so thankful I have my life back. I’ve referred so many friends that are also so happy with him. I highly recommend him to anyone.

What a Blessing
I'm 68 years old male and had an 8 level fusion back posterior surgery on March 11, 24. I am now 8 weeks out and I don't have any back pain. I've pushed mowed my yard 4 times now. Dr. Nasser is so personal. He came to see my wife and I all 5 days I was at UC Health downtown Cincy. No back brace and feel great. God bless Dr. Nasser!

Outstanding experience and results!
I was suffering from lumbar pain for several months. I secured an appointment promptly. I was scheduled for a trip out of the country so he arranged a surgical date that would fit my schedule. He performed a microdiscectomy on an outpatient basis. The procedure was quick and painless. I walked out of the hospital without my cane and any pain. Immediate relief! His bedside manner was great and he was very accessible by his cell phone. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I had a history of Kyphoscoliosis and Scoliosis when I went to Dr Rani Nasser, when I first met him I felt at ease. I didn’t think at my age of almost 69 years old that anything could be done for me. When I first met Dr Nasser I felt at ease,he was so caring and compassionate. I agreed to having surgery,it was the best thing I ever did. On 10-14-2019 I had my first surgery I underwent Stage 1 I3-S1 ALIF and Stage 2 T4- Pelvis on 10-14-2019. Before my surgery I was bent over forward and to the side,my back looked like a S curve. I am glad I went thru with my surgery,it was a long road but it was worth it,before my surgery I was told by several Doctors that I could end up in a wheel . I guess you should never think you are to old for surgery. I highly reccommend Dr Rani Nasser,he is a wonderful surgeon and person,he is very caring and compassionate.

Exceptional surgeon and procedure
I received a microdiscectomy and laminectomy on my L3/L4. Prior to the surgery I could not stand longer than 5 minutes or walk more than 2,000 steps per day due to the pain. The afternoon after the surgery, I was walking around the house free of pain. I can now stand and watch my grandson's hour long soccer game with no pain. Dr Nasser and this procedure gave me my life back!!

The Best
Dr Nasser did a C4-C5 fusion on 1/19/23. I had been in significant pain prior to surgery due to the nerve being pinched. When I opened my eyes after surgery, the pain was gone- honestly gone. The pieces were put back where they should have been and it was amazing. If you’re in this situation, don’t put it off - find the best doctor for the job and get it done. I highly recommend Dr Nasser.

I've recommended him more times than I can count.
I had been in excruciating pain for 17 years; inclusive of Kyphosis, Scoliosis, & Lordosis. He corrected all of these in one surgery. He has given me my life back! I am now pain free. I am 15 months post-op and only need to see him yearly. Not only is he a great surgeon, he is also compassionate. One doesn't always find those two together! Life is short & it's very precious. You would do yourself a tremendous favor to get his opinion.

Thank God for Dr. Nasser!
After trying nonsurgical solutions to relieve excruciating pain in my leg for 8 months, I saw a neurosurgeon who told me my problem was beyond his expertise. He referred me to Dr. Nasser. When I met with Dr. Nasser in April '22, it was the first time I felt hope in nearly a year of suffering. He expressed confidence in his diagnosis and treatment plan. The pain was due to rods & wires (from my scoliosis surgery in '84) hitting my nerves. Before I could see him again, I experienced a worsening of pain where I couldn't walk or get up from the couch. Luckily, Dr. Nasser had given me his cellphone number, so my family contacted him at 5AM to ask what to do. He answered and offered advice. I was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where Dr. Nasser evaluated me and performed surgery two days later - on a holiday! I will be forever grateful that Dr. Nasser agreed to take my complicated case, and offered me relief and improved quality of life. He is surgically skilled, kind, & compassionate.

I had out patient surgery with Dr. Nassar in July 2021 to relieve me of nerve pain in my left leg caused by my ongoing spine problems. I am diagnosed with a 36 degree scoliosis , with spinal stenosis of lumbar region and radiculopathy. I had been having pain and numbness in my left leg, ankle and foot for almost 4 yrs. reluctant to have surgery as a last resort. I’m very happy to report a good result with minimal down time. Although I am not entirely pain free I no longer have the nerve pain I once had and my endurance to attend to everyday housework, cooking and gardening is much better.

I went see Dr Nasser after my back pain continued to get worse doing almost nothing. I had an MRI and had a bulging disc. It was quite large and could not made better by physical therapy. He did a minimally invasive micro discsecomy. The procedure was done as an out surgery and the actual surgery took 1 hour. The recovery was easy. It has now been 6 months I have no back pain and no restrictions. I play golf 3-4 days a week, I walk at lest 3 miles a day. I also swim. I had such bad pain before my surgery my foot and right calf were numb. The numbness has gone away. I still have some tingling in my big toe and second toe, it continues to get better everyday I am 62 year old active female and feel like I have gotten my life back. I take no more meds for pain. There were times that I could not put any weight on my right foot due to the nerve pain. I did not have to have a cushion they just cut out the bulging disc. If your are suffering please consider having this surgery
