I had a bad experience at his office. He rushed the entire appointment and was quite dismissive when I asked questions. He made it seem as if I was some sort of nuisance in his day. I’m supposed to do a follow up appointment with him but not sure if I’m going to go back. His bedside manner was atrocious. I had so many questions that went unanswered. Not a good experience at all.

I would highly recommend Dr. Mayer. I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer 10 years ago. I was seen the day we called and was treated with the upmost respect and care. It was a scary time in my life and this man put me at ease and was able to remove the tumor. I have had several surgeries and procedures done by Dr. Mayer. I will continue to use him as long as he is in practice.

While Dr. Mayer is jovial and good natured, his bedside manner was unprofessional. At first he was sarcastic, then dismissive, and then embarrassed to use technically correct terminology in our discussions. He failed to mention that I wouldn't be allowed to drive ALL DAY after the colonoscopy until it was too late. The procedure itself was very painful when it shouldn't have been. He also failed to tell me my results until I called him. Would not recommend.

I left a previous review about this "surgeon" not providing any support while my surgical wounds were splitting open and infected. I have now gone to Competent doctors elsewhere. FOOTNOTE: Mayer's office has NEVER contacted me in follow-up to the major surgery he had conducted only 3 weeks prior to him leaving the country. That was 6 months ago. Still nothing from him. Pathetic and deplorable "health care". Stay away from this office.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE (same victim from January 201 in Norcross, GA – Jun 10, 2017
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Mayer?
Dr. Mayer was very impatient when I asked questions during the office visits after my surgery, dismissed my concerns, and made denials before I could even finish my question to him about a concern I had from the surgery for Crohn's Disease. Also, he did a botched up job in stapling my incision leaving me with a scrunched up stomach in the entire incision area. I've had the exact same surgery before so I know what it's supposed to look like and this is not it.

Dr. Mayer is very professional and yet very personable. He's performed my three colonoscopies and there is no one else I would ever consider going to. My level of trust in him is 100%.
