Excellent!! Dr. Rosenthal saved my husband’s life. He’s a rock star!

I would not recommend this doctor. After the surgery he had no interest in my well-being nor did I see him ever after. He always sent his residents. He was dismissive and evasive, regarding questions total lack of empathy or care.

Dr R showed us his skills are greatly lacking after performing a surgery he said he had done hundreds of times. He had NO direction with my husbands plan of care soon after the surgery when complications started, but rather let his care be taken over by the rotating ICU Drs. It was soon identified there was a hole at the surgical site. Dr R told us it was a PIN hole and would heal on it's own. I found out through medical records the hole was LARGE...which was drastically different from Dr R patient info. Dr R was out of town for extended periods of time often, so he provided his Cell #. Dr R refused anyone to perform medical procedures in his absence, which caused more and more complications. Unfortunately all the material he had my husband swallow in the testing caused a huge amt to pour out that LARGE hole. Dr R had no plan as to how best to treat this situation. Extremely sad.

As a physician I would never recommend this General Surgeon or his department at the Cleveland Clinic of Weston. He as well as his surgical coordinator are both completely dishonest and unprofessional individuals with no feeling whatsoever towards their patients medical conditions. His surgical coordinator KB, is simply an unstable & remorseless person who has no place in healthcare. No place whatsoever. At the initial visit he appears to be a cooperative caring person which is simply a mere disguise falsely to his true self and very deceptive practice in all aspects. I would highly encourage others as a physician to seek other care providers who are more experienced, have better technique in the O.R. and simply caring towards their patients. Not even one month later after discharging this doctor and his staff from my medical team, I had a very successful surgery with an outstanding surgeon, physician and overall amazing person who most importantly was more competency & experience.

Hello, I brought my grandmother to see Dr. Rosenthal for a consultation for a hiatal hernia surgery. Dr. Rosenthal’s staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Rosenthal explained the surgery in great deal and clearly.

Raul Rosenthal should have retired years ago at least that’s what he stated to me during my office visit. He claimed to have invented many bariatric surgery techniques such as the gastric sleeve but this is completely untrue. His staff need to be replaced with more professional and competent ones especially with regards to his surgery coordinator, Carol. I have never had an experience in which a coordinator for a surgeon had used profane language towards me just because I inquired about changing my procedure date since I had a family loss. In sum, Dr. Rosenthal is uncaring, unknowledgeable , does not possess any bedside manner whatsoever and most importantly is not the best surgeon in regards to his skill and technique that I have witnessed first hand during my residency at the Cleveland Clinic.

This surgery guy definitely seemed more than completely disinterested in listening to the patient and will constantly interrupt if you are talking to him about your concerns. His bedside manner is very unpredictable considering that his personality changes quickly from a human being into a complete monster if you ask him a question that he cannot answer. If he doesn’t have the answer to your question then he actually becomes very angry at you, the patient, followed by dismissiveness of the same question but then surprisingly will actually attempt to try making unfunny jokes with you and still not provide the patient with the answer to the original question. His staff are just as poor especially whoever I spoke to to coordinate a further evaluation. To put it bluntly, this doctor is very uncaring, treats patients family members with disrespect as well, and seems like he absolutely is more focused on his upcoming future retirement rather than the present care of the patients.

Dr. Rosenthal was the best doctor for my surgery. His credentials speak for themself. Not only did I have the Bariatric Gastric Sleeve but he found I had a hiatal hernia at the same time and repaired that so I didn't have to have a second surgery.

Dr Rosenthal is an excellent surgeon. He is very meticualous and he explains his procedure in detail. His staff is great and the entire program is structured to help the patient succeed.
