Dr. Ravi Kode, MD

Dr. Kode is an AWESOME cardiologist. He does conservative treatment before doing surgery.. Listens to your concerns & answers questions truthfully.

I have a life threatening condition and instead of following standard protocol, he arrogantly denounced standard practices in a demeaning way. My husband and I both left his practice.

I started seeing Dr. Kode after I had a heart attack and having two stents placed. I am young. He was friendly and down to earth but often discounted my concerns. I was left waiting 30+ minutes for him at every visit. And when he did finally come in I felt rushed. More than once he took personal calls in the middle of our appointment and left the exam room for 15 minutes. My cardiac health was getting worse and I needed help, but he often asked me, “So remind me what we are doing here with your meds again?” After a two year battle to control my cholesterol he had his nurse call to increase a dose of a medication I wasn’t even taking! I felt like he had never taken a note on my file. I jwas so frustrated and two weeks later I ended up in the hospital with another stent. I do not blame my health problems on Dr. Kode, but so needed an advocate and he was never one for me. After two years of regular visits I would be surprised if he even knew my name! Sad!

Dr Kode actually listens and hears what you are saying. He showed compassion and concern when I let him know of some very distressing issues within my family. Dr Kode has a positive way in which he phrases things or discusses things that may be concerning him about my health.

Tamica at the front desk was super friendly. Dr Kode was great. His staff was pleasant.

I was told by Dr. Kode’s office staff that I really needed to keep this appt. even though I was not having any heart or health issues. So, I kept the appt.His nurse came in and asked me about my meds and took my BP, then said Dr. Would be in shortly. 30 min. later I was still sitting in the exam room waiting and was about to get up and leave when Dr. Kode came in. He said hello and asked how I was doing and I said fine and he listened to my heart and lungs and said “see you in a year” and left the room. Really? Why was this worthless 3-5 min. appt so necessary? I’ll say it was just a way for him to make a buck! Big waste of my time!

The visit went quick and smooth. Took care of my needs. Tamica, the lady that checked me in was very nice and professional.

Doctor good at explaining and takes time with patient

Doctor seemed to be in a hurry, didn't even listen to patient's heart, no discussion of any testing, just commented that his blood pressure and pulse were good today. Did ask about weight loss, but didn't bother to weigh patient.

I went there for a check on my heart. Dr kode did not even listen to my heart. We only talked.

Dr. Kode was very friendly, knowledgeable, and funny during my office visit with him. He was willing to explain a diagnosis I had been previously given and that gave me great satisfaction with him in discussing how to move forward. I would highly recommend him.
