Failure to diagnose failure to thrive with all 3 children. My oldest daughter landed in The Children’s Hospital needing a blood transfusion. With a hemoglobin at 5.3. Weighing in at 53 lbs. Almost 13 years old and 4’5 was diagnosed with failure to grow, failure to thrive and severe acute malnutrition.

My son had swelling in his boy parts, Dr checked for a hernia & told me he didn’t have one. I went to Children’s for a 2nd opinion & my son had 2 inguinal hernias. They performed surgery & found that 1 hernia was quite large. I decided to look past this. Fast forward 2 years later & I bring my son in for chest pain and 103+ fever for 6 days straight. Dr does a flu swab it was negative & tells us it will pass. I take my son to Children’s again & he had necrotizing pneumonia. Admitted for 9 days.

Dr. Sarapali is an excellent doctor. He listens to questions and concerns. He will spend time explaining things and makes sure that we understand how to care for our children. Dr. Sarapali genuinely cares for his patients and their families!

Both of my kids were born early and Dr. Saripalli has been there since day one. He has always helped answer questions and make sure my kids are staying on track for them as individuals. He asks my opinion as a parent while offering his medical experience. Great doctor!
