I went to Dr. Gouttama for 16 years. I was so sad to hear that he had retired. He always listened to my concerns and didn't hesitate to adjust my meds when the ones I was on weren't working well. I usually only had appointments every 3 months except when he had just adjusted my medicine or if I was doing poorly. I will really miss him. :(

I am very sad to find out Dr. Gouttama retired the end of June. My last appointment with him was through tele-visit in April. It is now July and I wish I called to make an appointment in early June. He's a great doctor and I am having anxiety knowing that he's not my psychiatrist anymore. :(

I do not trust many of these doctors as they just push pills to make more money. The pills are part of the issue to begin with on a lot of patients as they are taking way too many of them for way too long and start to get side effects. My husband had a brief encounter with this doctor. My husband had taken Xanax occasionally maybe one a month for quite a few years. Never had a problem with it until he had a personal issue and increased his dosage to take one a day which is actually according to the Dr's fine. But he became dependent on them immediately and when he realized what happened he stopped taking them and went into bad withdrawl. He had to have a hospital visit to safely get him through this bad period. This is when he had an encounter with this doctor. The doctor told him he would need to be on pills for the rest of his life. A mix of all kinds of pills. Um no. My husband is happy healthy and on no pills. Don't always listen to the Dr. It can save you.

He was rude, he told me I have Bipolar without actually running a test to prove this. He didn't want to listen to my concerns about the diagnosis. Said he would treat me in the way he thought was right not how I want to be treated. Then he prescribed me an SSRI for Bipolar Disorder which has been know to cause manic episodes in people with Bipolar Disorder. Needless to say I will not be going back for a second visit.

He does not care about what you have to say and he just wants to push some pills and get through your appointment as quick as possible. He does NOT make you feel welcomed or comfortable at all, which is exactly the type of doctor you DON’T want to see if you’re dealing with mental health issues.

Very good doctor,he does make it short, but he listens and he knows how to help people with their problems. Now the staff at this office is terrible, and scheduling can sometimes be a hassle, but that's not the Doctors fault.

This is the worst doctor I’ve ever seen for my condition he will not listen to you. He will not read your file. He just wants to prescribe you medicine and have no concern for your story or interest in listening to anything you have to say. I do not recommend to anyone to waste their time with this doctor.

Pill pusher, wants you to come back every 30 days for the next rx, appointment with him always quick, no need to sit down even.

Worst Dr. experience I've had. He's always in a rush and the three minutes he does see you he's actively not listening to a word you say. I called two separate times, was told he'd call me back and never did. Was told I get called with lab results, never did. On top of the that the office is nasty. Stay away. I have NEVER in my life written a review good or bad but if this keeps even one person from going it was worth it
