Waited long time. Chairs set up like musical chairs touching head in back of you. Office depressing. ....my opinion.. Dr distracted with daughter. Rushed through first visit! Told I had Macular degeneration in one eye, but no info given! I had to ask what is that, will it cause blindness? Was told 'central vision loss.' and don't smoke and eat greens. That's it I don't smoke. This was news to me, and scary to find I had something that could severely affect my ability to see as it's progressive googled Called office today as was having difficulty getting my information online and I asked if I should follow up because of the diagnosis (there were others in my chart not discussed too, yet, I was told, no, not if she didn't tell you. P.S. xtr cost of $50 for an eye test and script. The assistant who did tests was great. Saw on chart online that dr. suggested vitamins for Macula Degen. Nope. I'd like to know what vitamin I should take. C? Felt cheated of time, $, knowledge.

Lackadaisical
Was seen on August 21, 2023, by Dr. Kurzon and felt it was a fairly good appointment, but at no time did anyone tell me that I had any problems with my retinas. I have to say that her staff is severely lacking as I received a call from Dr. Samantha Xavier's (a retina specialist) office yesterday, as they just received a referral to see me to re-evaluate my retinas. I was flabbergasted and very angry, that a referral was sent almost 18 months after I was seen and was never informed by anyone in the office that there was a problem. I am appalled. To wait 18 months? Who in their right mind would subject their patient to that kind of treatment? I have tried to call Dr. Kurzon's office numerous times since yesterday without obtaining any clearcut answers as to why I needed to see a retina specialist nor why 18 months had passed since I had seen Dr. Kurzon.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PHYSICIAN!! DANGER!
After an annual exam (including dilation), I was not informed that I had TWO partially detached retinas! I complained of seeing floaters, she did not listen. Went to another ophthalmologist & the NEXT DAY I was having emergency retina surgery. I had been to Dr. Kurzon for 8 years, annually. She NEVER mentioned any problems with retinas or cataracts.

Amazing Doctor!
Amazing Doctor. I have been going to her since she opened her practice. I recently had Blepharoplasty surgery that went perfectly. I also had cataract surgery on both eyes. I see better now than I ever did with contacts o glasses. Her staff is always professional and polite. I have never had one bad experience. Wonderful Doctor and staff.

Her assistants need much more training. Dr. Kurzon needs to read the computer less while patient is explaining their needs. Eyes should be on the patient.

HORRIBLE! My mother had an eye issue and asked if she could email a picture to the doctor to look at. She was never told she would be charged as an e-visit. They sent her a $12 bill and when the bookkeeper called to demand payment. She was incredibly rude and treated my mom like she was stupid. She insisted that if she did not pay immediately by phone they were going to turn her over to collections. Absolutely horrible and she will not be returning. I would give this ZERO stars if possible.

My second cataract surgery this Wednesday past went very well. As I was wheeled into my recovery cubical, I could read every sign at the far end of the hall...they were all crystal clear. It has taken until today for reading to become fairly easy without reading glasses. The dilation has not receded 100%. When that happens...no glasses for the first time in 64 years. What Dr. Rebecca Kurzon of @Winter Park Ophthalmology www.winterparkeye.com performed was nothing less than two miracles. Until this week, I had never truly experienced High-Def on the tube...it is pretty nifty. Actually my entire life is now viewed in High-Def and Living Color. I am certain the prayers by Tom Kennington and Chris DeCarlo were instrumental in guiding Dr. Kurzon’s hands. I am most grateful to both of them. I am blessed.

I have actually been going to Dr. Kurzon's office for a few years now. I have really bad dry eyes and have been having her put plugs in my tear ducts. Had supposedly "permanent" ones but they never lasted more than 2 months. Had her put temps in that wouldn't fall out but dissolve at 3 months. Never lasted more than a month. This last visit, I had my routine exam and spent most of the time with the tech and about 3-4 minutes with the doctor depending if I talked too much. Mentioned I was t

Dr. Kurzon recently performed cataract removal surgery on both my eyes, resulting in 20/20 vision out of both eyes. She actually hum and sang during the surgery... conveying to me that she was perfectly relaxed and confident in the process. I highly recommend her as an ophthalmologist.

I was recommended by Dr. Kurzon by a friend for a second opinion. Dr. Kurzon and her staff were outstanding. The staff was nothing but kind and courteous. Dr. Kurzon took the time to listen to and answer all of my questions and gave me options on treatments available for my condition. Treatments my current doctor never mentioned. I will definitely be referring friends and family to her practice.

Dr. Kurzon' s staff examined my eyes for new glasses and totaled misdiagnosed me!! I was given the WRONG script resulting in my new glasses being useless. I was left with glasses that I couldn't use and it cost me paying twice for a new script from a different doctor and paying twice for everything!! Totally unprofessional!! Do not use this practice.
