Dr. Regina Velarde, MD

Dr. Velarde was able to ask all the proper questions, questions previous either didnt know to ask, or didnt bother. Dr. Velarde offered a plan of action to further test my blood for other potential causes of my condition, not just send me out the door with a 'Hope you feel better soon'. She has tremendous medical knowledge, but that is coupled with a very sincere care about her patients health. So glad to have found her by happenstance.

Dr. Velarde is a true professional. She really takes the time to understand the illness or issue at hand and has the knowledge, experience, and intelligence to make sound decisions on your medical needs. Dr. Velarde is very personable and has a way of marking her patients feel comfortable enough to communicate private and potentially embarrassing matters. She is also very Attractive.

Dr Velarde has been my primary physician for three years. She listens to what you say and takes your thoughts and opinions in mind. She is conservative when starting a new medication which I like. She is open to the idea of trying to get off a medication is appropriate. The only real issue I have is you can wait awhile to see her. And she is only at the Latham office on Tuesdays. But that is the nature of an urgent care practice. And that is not her fault.

I have been a patient of Dr Velarde for over 15 years. I have seen her in both Albany and Latham offices. She is kind, direct, helpful, and caring. Every year I see her for my physical; she commends my positive gym routine, but she also advised I incorporate cardio into my routine. She always recommends me to other specialists. Those specialists are fantastic in regard to specific health concerns. I would not be where I am today without her health expertise. Honestly,I give her a grade of 200%.
