First and last time
It has taken me some time to write this review. I never write bad reviews—in fact, I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so in this case. I went to this doctor after my former endocrinologist retired. From the minute he set foot in the room, Dr. Coch was rude and condescending. That is not exactly a great way to start off with a new patient. He was dismissive of my questions, and he contradicted the diagnosis of my former doctor—someone who far more experience in the field, was internationally recognized, and with whom I had been a patient for years. I can handle someone with a poor bedside manner if I trust that individual, but in this case, Dr. Coch also had my medical history incorrect and proceeded to give me conflicting information on how to adjust my medications. I am now seeing a doctor an hour's drive away, an inconvenience, but worth the switch.

Terrible experience
Dr. Coch was dismissive of my symptoms repeatedly. When I questioned whether my pain could be related to my pancreas, he stated “if it was you would be dead by now”, and dismissed me as a patient. Found a new endocrinologist and was immediately diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic. I wouldn’t recommend dr coch to anyone. He was right about one thing, if it was my pancreas, I would be dead, and I nearly did.

Didn't listen to me
Got very ill from the medicine, after warning I had had a bad experience with it, and was very sensitive to medicines in general. Very focused on statistics instead of the individual patient's needs.

Arrogant and Uncaring
Dr. Coch took little interest in my previous (successful) treatment, but made repeated, rude remarks about the incompetence of my former medical providers, without any attempt to explain other than "we know that doesn't work." He did not ask pertinent questions about how I have (successfully) managed my disease for over a decade, denied that my symptoms could be related to my treatment, and told me he felt labwork unnecessary more than once a year, despite my history of fluctuations. His conclusion to our visit was that I should not expect to have a normal quality of life due to my disease, and he was baffled that I would expect him to be able to do anything to change that. (Perhaps he can't, but isn't it worth asking a new doctor if they have new ideas?) Furthermore messages sent through the patient portal are at times completely ignored. I am looking for a new doctor.
