Dr. Renu Chhokra, MD

Dr. Renu Chhokra was my anesthesiologist at my second cataract surgery in 2024. Dr. Chhokra went well above and beyond in the diligent care she gave me. She noticed changes in the T-waves in my EKG compared with the previous EKG that cleared me for my first cataract surgery in 2023. Immediately after the second surgery, she sent me to my primary care doctor to get another EKG done with better technology. Two more EKGs at the primary care practice resulted in my being sent to the ER, being admitted to the hospital, and having a catheterization at the hospital that found no blockage of the arteries and no need for a stent. Doctors told me I had experienced spasms in the heart arteries rather than a blockage. Dr. Chhokra kindly visited me at the end of my three-day stay in the hospital and gave me very helpful information about spasms of the arteries. These explanations went a long way toward helping me to understand what I had experienced and how it might or might not change my life.
