Family doctor
I ama clinician and have used Dr. Shali as my PCP for years. When she left Scripps I continued with her as she is thorough, competent, and compassionate. Would recommend her highly

The bottom line - I needed Friday afternoon prescription help from Dr. Shali and I got it the same day. I used MyScripps to send a prescription request and got a prompt response. It really saved me from a miserable weekend.

Unacceptable, I needed a better response to my prescription refills. It took too many attempts with computer messages, phone calls and contacts by pharmacy to get refills. I also felt she was not compassionate about my requests, very matter of fact about her decisions. I have changed PCPs.

I was 4 weeks postpartum and experiencing intense insomnia and anxiety. It was at the point where it wasn't safe to care for my kids on my own. Dr. Shali told me firmly that she wouldn't recommend any medication because I was breastfeeding and it wasn't safe (a little research and other physicians assure that there are safe options). She referred me to counseling but didn't offer any other help and walked out of the room while I was still feeling pretty hopeless. I'm sure she is a great doctor in other areas but I want to encourage new moms to see another doctor to get the support that they need in such a vulnerable time.

dr. Shali is very slow to respond to my pharmacist for my medication refills in fact I had to call her office and threaten to change doctors as have other of her patients, I may yet do just that
