Dr. Richard Choi, MD

Dr. Choi performed surgery on my left hand in November 2020. It was a huge success. I am now seeing him for my right hand and trust him fully. I am not ready for surgery yet, but if it needs to happen, I 100% choose Dr. Choi to do the job. He puts the “Choi” in choice!

He knows what he is talking about, explains it well and is just a funny guy. Would not go anywhere else!!!!

Dr Choi is the best. He takes the time to know his patients. He is very thorough, gentle and really knows his stuff. He is the only dr that doesn’t hurt me when I get cortisone injections. He also does an AMAZING job with reconstruction of fingers. Awesome surgeon! I fully trust his findings/diagnosis with any issues I have . Never had a bad visit. Even my children see him. They need more drs like him.

He does seem to know his profession but chooses his delivery in a condescending smart Alec manner which is very off putting especially when you're in discomfort. I won't be back. No professionalism at all.

Dr Choi is great but make sure when you get to the apt that you actually are seeing by him not PA. I was very disappointed when I was expecting the Dr to come but instead the apt was with PA. Not both but just PA. Specially for fist apt I really wanted to be seeing by dr Choi and I had to ask to see him what made me feel pretty uncomfortable as I didn’t wanna sound like I was questioning the diagnosis or being disrespectful. I really wish I was not put in that position by the practice. The apt with PA should have been presented either during the scheduling or check in.

Great experience with Dr Choi first, for injections into the base of my thumb because of painful arthritis, & then, surgery. I highly recommend him as a hand surgeon!

It was a joke waste of our time

Had a broken clavicle, broken ankle and broken fibula DR Choi Did a phenomenal job on my clavicle the surgery did wonders No pain whatsoever was using my arm 3 days later my ankle and fibula are healing perfectly He’s an awesome Dr. thank you

How do you say enough good things about a doctor who saved your finger? After a traumatic accident while chopping with sharp kitchen knife, my first meeting with Dr. Choi was in the OR at Lawrence General Hospital on a Saturday afternoon. Going into surgery, the chance of me losing the top portion of my left, index finger was extremely high. I was devastated. I am a busy woman in my 40’s with three children and a career; losing a portion of my finger would have had a negative effect on my life in so many ways. Nevertheless, thanks to Dr. Choi, my surgery was a complete success! If it wasn't for his amazing technical surgical skills, I would not be able to say that the top portion of my finger was successfully reattached and is healing beautifully. I am forever grateful to this talented surgeon for giving me the best possible outcome – a finger that will fully heal with a minimal scar (I will even have a nail). I highly recommend Dr. Choi! He is excellent!

Dr Choi removed a cyst from my hand and I am so pleased with the result. The incision site is so small and clean! He, his NP and secretarial staff are always friendly, available and patient with any questions or concerns
