Susan Williams- Dr Fohl saved my face!
By the information I gave Dr Fohl over the phone, he recognized the cancer I had been told were pimples by my General Practitioner. Dr Fohl realized they had multiplied in the two years they were ignored by my GP. Only after changing jobs with new insurance so I didn’t need to be referred, did I get an appointment with a dermatologist (Dr Fohl) on the same day I called. When I got there and he explained he had wanted to verify his suspicion of the type and location. Because of the possibility of the entanglement of nerves of the eyes & smile that may droop, it would be necessary to have a plastic surgeon and that he had already alerted Dr Latney Ware on the floor above who was a specialist in the field. Thank God that he had the foresight to arrange that for me! It ended well and he hid my scar in the fold of my smile , hitting no nerves and as he promised, it looked like a cat had scratched me and almost disappeared aver the years! I hope he doesn’t retire on my watch!

Totally trust Dr. Fohl’s judgment — knowledgeable & explains what my various skin imperfections are without being frightening. Wouldn’t go to anyone else. That’s why I drive in 95 traffic for an hour to see him.

I called to make an appointment with Dr. Fohl, and when I gave my insurance information the receptionist realized it was a medicaid plan and said "We don't take that." I said "Oh, Dr. Fohl listed online as accepting medicaid online." and she replied "I know, they won't take us of their list." in an annoyed tone, which made me feel pretty embarrassed. I realize that answering the same question gets old, but "I'm so sorry, that's actually a clerical error." would have been more professional.

My experience with Dr Fohl was extremely disappointing. He was very unprofessional, and spent very little time on the actual reason I came to be seen. He talked about his personal life and his credentials. The worst part was that upon finding out I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, he listed off every possible negative outcome, and even made fun of my walk . I am very aware of the possible negative effects of RA. I came there for a spot on my toe, not to feel defeated and in tears because of my RA.

I saw Dr. Fohl to have a mole removed and was extremely disappointed with his lack of professionalism. He spent 90% of our time talking about non medical issues, cussing, and being crude. I was shocked.
