Worst bedside manner ever!
My mother went for a follow up visit with Dr Forte as they were watching some enlarged lymph nodes in her stomach. He walked into the room made no eye contact and said “good news there’s no change but even if it’s a low level lymphoma there’s not much I can do for you” and that was it. Lymphoma wa never ever mentioned before this and he wouldn’t even discuss it any further. When my sister tried to ask him further follow up questions he didn’t acknowledge her presence at all. My mother then asked him what do you mean and he proceeded to tell her he wouldn’t know anything for sure unless he did a biopsy but why would he even bother at this point. What?? Who says things like this to a patient? He then proceeded to say I’ll see you in 3 months and left the room. It’s crucial for an oncologist to convey information with empathy and understanding and he was the complete opposite. This doctor should be ashamed of himself!
