Dr. Richard Gayles, MD

Dr Gayles was truly the worst did an unneeded injection on my back before I was technically even allowed to have any injections. I had surgery recently. He convinced me it was fine. And did it on my lumbar area when I had no radicular pain there. He was back there pushing and digging to find some pain to allow him justification to do the injection. I can’t believe I let him do it. I could’ve gotten an infection.

Cannot recommend Dr. Gayles for any “regenerative” procedure of the back. Had stem cells injected into lower back by Dr. Gayles in Feb. of 2022 and the procedure immediately made my back a lot worse and after over a year later and numerous hours of physical therapy with 3 different practices, my back is still worse than it was prior to the procedure. Nicole (who markets the doctor’s regenerative practice) and Dr. Gayles come off knowledgeable and reassuring about the procedure and process, however they offered no reasoning or apologies as to why this procedure has left me in a state of chronic pain that I never had before. Prior to procedure they indicated that there were no risks to this procedure. I walked away thinking the worst that could happen was that the procedure would have no real positive effect, not that I would be dealing with chronic pain more than a year later because of this. I wouldn’t wish this pain or experience for anybody.

I would first of all like to commend one of the front desk staff members by the name of Antoinette, who went way beyond the call of duty for me. I had called several times throughout the day before my visit, for I was frantic to have my prescriptions sent to my pharmacy before the weekend. The person who was handling my prescription request did not call me back as promised and left for the day. It was vital that I have an answer before the end of the day. Antoinette was the only one at the front desk, but never became impatient with me and then finally went in search of the staff member (which is unheard of). She found my prescription info. on desk of the other staff member and gave me the information that I vitally needed. Back to Dr. Gayles, he is the most knowledgeable, caring & professional specialist I've ever had, and his main Staff members who accompany him during procedures, including Erik, his main assistant, are also wonderful, caring & professional employees.

Dr Gayles brings a great deal of knowledge, wisdom, patience to his patients. He cares a great deal and takes the time to listen and help the patient managed their pain.

For pain management Dr Gayles inquires of workings of my Spinal cord stimulator & asks of my life stresses that worsens spine nerve pain. He ensures my stimulator has regular tune ups by its Manufacturers Technician in his office. Very caring Physician.

Dr Gayles goes above and beyond he is very personable and truly cares about his patients
