What stood out in our appointment(s) was auto suggested, so I'll begin there. I am a new amputee, due to a catastrophic 'crush' amputation at my job. I lost my entire leg, to upper thigh & almost bled to death. Dr. Richard Gurich is treating me & my wife attends my appointments. There are not enough characters to thoroughly convey the disrespect & berating of my wife for merely asking very short ?s of him during my very brief appts. Dr. Richard Gurich refused her initially an in person meet, so that she could understand my amputation. She was offered a phone call, which never happened. I'm day 69 post amp & during the last 2 appts I've had w/ this surgeon my wife meekly, respectfully attempted to ask very brief questions to which he replied 'I already told you this before' & continued to ignore her. I had a horrific injury, my life was on the line & she was horrified & only sought simple answers that would not put him out. Very arrogantly, hurtfull & unprofessional.

Dr. Gurich removed a 15 cm soft tissue sarcoma from my leg before it had a chance to spread to my vital organs. He saved my life. Dr Gurich and Ruth couldn't have been more friendly and reassuring. Simply put, he is just a phenomenal doctor in every way.

Amazing surgeon! He replaced my father's hip after a pathological fracture. We have dealt with Greenville Memorial Hospital for years, and this particular doctor had the best bedside manner we have ever experienced.
