Surgery not successful in spite of MD's prognosis.
Hodgson said he could restore up to 80% of my hearing via a Stapedotomy. That did not turn out to be the case. I may have a bit of hearing improvement but certainly no where near an 80% improvement. If I had known what I know now I would not have gone through with the procedure.

I just have been so comfortable all of the last 30 years that Doctor Hodgson and I have worked on my "difficult case" . He has always been easy to talk to. And his knowledge of his craft is top notch. I am really in good hands. when in his chair. As I was when he preformed surgery years ago. And he has always listened to my concerns. He is open and honest.

I highly recommend Dr. Hodgson. He has helped me with my Ménière’s disease. He is extremely knowledgeable and caring and has mapped out a treatment plan for me. He stays abreast with current research on Ménière’s disease and it’s treatments. He has a very hopeful positive outlook on treating what can feel like a very hopeless disease. He is an excellent doctor.

Dr. Sterling Hodgson is an excellent surgeon and very good at working with patients and explaining options. I had cochlear implant surgery, which went well. Office support staff need some training. While friendly, they do not make an effort to speak clearly and distinctly, or look the patient in the face for lip reading. I have asked numerous times to be contacted by e-mail or text rather than phone, to no avail. Far different from most audiology office environments I have experienced.
