By far the worst physician I have EVER encountered. Should definitely NOT be treating people with pain. No compassion AT ALL! Rude and Obnoxious but seemed to delight in telling me I should just ignore my ongoing pain and that I was just drug seeking. As a healthcare provider myself a total waste of my time and such an embarrassment to our profession.

Doesn’t listen
This office doesn’t listen to your needs. We are dealing with chronic diarrhea from pain medicine and they prescribe more medicine that causes severe diarrhea. If you don’t fit their cookie cutter methods there’s no help for you.

Doesn't know the facts from his own apparent ficti
I'm a scientist and I know the facts on various analgesic medications. It appears Dr Hood has a propensity to make up things he represents are factual, but in that I have an extensive background with the scientific literature in the area know such things he purports to be erroneous. I guess if you have an MD after your name if you say something it magically become true. Sheesh

Office visits are good. No problems. It's trying to get them to return your calls if you need help. I have been in tremendous pain for about a week. Today is the third consecutive day (multiple calls) I have reach out to him for help. Have been promised by his staff I'd be getting a call back. Nothing. I will be finding a new Dr asap. I need someone who cares about their patients.

Wonderful . Dr Hood, and his team Manny S. , NP, and Jose Lerma, PA are thee dream team for pain management for patients who are lucky enough to even be accepted as a patient of theirs. I’m not joking. These three made a difference in my quality of life which is unfortunately not in anyway good. They helped , they CARED and were personally involved in such a extent to help my with such PERSONAL and private struggles. I will never forget them. I still remain in touch as well. And will be at random times happy to state this as a review. I am blessed to have been given such care as I know now what is deserved, possible and it makes me fight to get this care everywhere. Thank you to Dr good , manny and Jose. From my heart Coleary??

My husband was a patient of Dr. Hood's. He had terminal cancer. And obviously needed pain meds. But my husband was conned by an elder abuser who befriended him who actually was a patient of Dr. Hood's. I asked Dr. Hood to call me and explain if the pain meds could alter my husband's mind for him to believe in this con man. Dr. Hood never called me back. I thought a courtesy phone call to a widow would have been an empathetic thing to do BUT he never called me back. And he never wanted to know anymore about the con man he is giving huge amounts of pain meds to. I know this because the con man being close to my husband complained that Walgreens questioned the dosage of pain meds he was prescribed and didn't want to give him them. ,

I visited Dr Hood and his PA for 14 months. 7 epidurals, 2 nerve blocks and dozens of office visits. Overall the majority of his staff is rude. On my last visit I had to be wheeled in in a wheelchair. I was crying and in more pain than I had ever been in. Dr Hood came in for 1 minute, threw his hands up and said ‘There’s nothing I can do for you’. I could not sit, stand or walk without crying in pain. I asked him to please help me, I can’t take this pain. I wanted to die it was so bad. He walked out of the room. They handed us another rx of pain pills. I was screaming and crying and they brought us to the door. In the lobby I called 911. I will never go back or recommend him. A month later I was taken into surgery where they removed a synovial cyst that had been growing on my S1 nerve for 14 months. I am pain free no thanks to Dr Hood.

Dr. Hood and his staff are great. I was determined to find someone to help with my back pain. The entire process from appointment, office visit for exam, and the procedure for my back pain was easy and well organized. Best of all, my back pain is gone!! I highly recommend this office, staff, and Dr. Hood.

Extremely compassionate and dedicated doctor, PA, and staff. They are committed to quality care and patient comfort. They take time to listen and work with me as a team. Best pain management practice in the area.. he was my third after the first two scratched their heads and gave up. Dr. Hood is a rare breed these days!! I’m so glad I found him! Side note: I see 10 1-star reviews on here but could only find ONE of them. Seems kind of fishy??
