Met with Dr. Howell to discuss issues from my TKR in January of 2024. He gave a thorough exam, was honest that he could not guarantee arthroscopic surgery would fix my issue.

This was my first office visit for my shoulder. X-rays were taken, assistants were friendly and efficient, painless injection was given. I felt I was given the correct diagnosis and followup PT. I was seen in a timely manner.

The staff was cheerful, efficient and helpful. Didn’t feel rushed.

I'm sorry this cannot show a zero rating. I had surgery with Dr. Richard Howell to trim the meniscus in my knee on 5/25/23. After the surgery, I had 2 rounds of physical therapy from June through November, shots and 2 gel injections. It is now late November, the pain is worse than before the surgery. Dr. Howell was dismissive to my pain and my inability to walk more than a block without severe pain. So if you enjoy extreme pain, love taking the maximum dose of acetaminophen every day, love an extremely dismissive doctor and can't walk well after surgery then Dr. Richard Howell is your guy.

Knee surgery 4/10/2023. Dr Howell was highly recommended by 3 different patients. He especializes in sports injuries. I really had good experiences with young doctors. He is excellent. Cares, compassionate, thorough assessment, gentle touch. Small incisions, a dot of blood, great nerve block, pain free for 3 to 5 days. Office staff well organized. I highly recommend Dr Richard Howell, he is beyond excellence!

Went to see Dr Howell and he said he didn’t think I had a tear such as what the radiologist said they saw. He could not explain why I had the injuries I have or feel the pain I do. Gave me a cortisone shot and sent me on my way.

Dr. Howell did an amazing job reconstructing my rotator cuff and worked around my shoulder tattoo so not to scar it. I highly recommend Dr. Howell!

Dr. Howell is the best orthopedic doctor around. I found him on line, and after reading his bio, and the fact that he has written journals on the meniscus, I immediately made an appointment. He has a great personality, great bedside manner, and, of course, very knowledgeable. He gave me a thorough exam, took xrays, then explained what he found and how he was going to repair my torn meniscus. I would highly recommend Dr. Howell.

The best Orthopedic Surgeon in Pinellas County!!He’s excellent and so caring. I had a hip replacement on 3/3/19 and no pain. So happy about that. Dr Howell is very skilled . I would recommend him to anyone.
