Not as caring as he first comes across
My first visit I felt listened to and comfortable. Since then, I’ve only needed to see him a couple of times but during both visits he was dismissive and quite condescending. I started crying due to embarrassment and told him how he was coming across and he backtracked and said I was misunderstanding what he was saying. Again, dismissive and condescending. I’ve asked for a new doctor and I am still waiting for an update. It boggles my mind that I can’t just go to a new doctor, instead I have to ask and they will review the reasons I want to switch and then decide. Seems like I should just be able to switch if I felt the need.

I went to see Dr. Julyan because I've been having dizzy spells. He sent me to get blood work and then completely ignored any follow-up. When I asked about follow-up he gave some unhelpful wikipedia general advice, clearly no intention on actually doing his job. Thanks...

Dr. Julyan is a fantastic doctor! The most important thing you can do not only in healthcare, but in life is to care. Dr. Julyan does just that! He listens, he cares, and he provides help if needed. I could not ask for more and am thankful that he is my primary doctor.

Dr. Julyan is nice and attentive at appointments but his over all marks are in response to doing his homework and reaching out to his patients with medical issues that he doesn’t know anything about. I ended up asking for a referral for second opinion because he misdiagnosed my condition .

Dr Julyan is one of, if not the best, physicians I have had the privilege of seeing. He shows a knowledge, understanding, patience, and willingness to stay in the room and listen until YOU are done that is extremely comforting. He does not try to force revisits, even for prescription refills. I once asked him about his shoes during a visit and he patiently answered my question. I have not had a doctor treat me as anything other than a check mark for an office visit in my life until Dr Julyan.
