I was injured in a horse back riding accident a few years ago and my left hip developed avascular necrosis. The damage to the joint was extensive because I had waited so long to seek treatment. Dr Matza was very direct - very professional. He struck me as being highly proficient and I felt confident in having him perform my hip replacement. Three months post surgery, I was riding horses again! 3.5 years later, I've had zero issues and am more athletic than ever. I highly recommend Dr. Matza

I had an ACL injury many years ago - 1980 to be a bit more exact - Dr. Matza approached the treatment very conservatively at first and used surgery as a last resort. He opted to correct the problem by using a "Modified McIntosh Procedure" in October 1982. I am happy to report that the long term benefits of this procedure were beneficial. Thirty-six years later and the knee is doing fine. The only thing I have to remember the procedure is a rather ugly scar on my left knee.
