Dr. Richard McCarroll, MD

I have had 2 surgeries under Dr. McCarroll . Both I and my husband are very thankful for the quality of care I received from Dr. McCarroll and his staff in both instances. He is a very gifted, talented and professional surgeon who truly listens to and cares about you as his patient. He thoroughly answered all of the questions I had and his "bedside manner" is impeccable. They say that some people are born to be in a certain profession. I firmly believe that is true of Dr. McCarroll in his calling to be a surgeon. I would most definitely recommend him to anyone I know who may need a general surgeon. I have had my fair share of surgeries and, in my opinion, Dr. McCarroll and his entire staff are hands down the absolute best! Just plain awesome!

My PCP worked to get me in with Dr. McCarroll for an emergency appendectomy. I had never had surgery before and I'm over 50. Dr. McCarroll explained everything in depth, was confident but not the least bit arrogant, and had the best sense of humor. He alleviated any pre-surgery jitters. I was a work in for his day so I was a late surgery and he didn't leave until after 9:30 p.m. He was still smiling. He rounded on me by 8 a.m. the next day and I was discharged by 11 a.m. I think many physicians' true personalities can be summed up by what nurses and staff say about them and ALL the wonderful nurses that I had at Baptist raved about the care he gives his patients and his genuine kindness. If I or my family need surgery again, I will be a return patient!
