Dr. Richard Pearce, MD

Dr. Pearce has performed multiple spine surgeries on me, and I am walking up right and have no more pain. He is a conservative surgeon, so don't expect a quick fix. My lumbar spine has had every level fused (over 20 years) plus 2 cervical fusions. A condition I inherited from my father. I worked full time the entire time Dr. Pearce was fixing my back. I trust him so much that he has also had to do a cervical fusion on my son! That is trust.

Dr. Pearce has preformed 2 surgery's on my low back. He has always treated me with respect. He keeps you totally informed. He enplanes my procedures to where I can understand them. I have COMPLETE confidence in him.

Dr. Pearce Has a compassionate understanding of what a patient Dr. relationship should be. I have felt very comfortable with two surgical decisions of the cervical & lumbar scan fusions.

Having recently moved from Atlanta to Chattanooga, I was apprehensive about finding a surgeon here. Dr. Pearce was highly recommended by every single person that I asked, and I asked a lot!!! I had to have disc replacement surgery in my eco and I was very apprehensive about it. The staff was outstandingly pleasant. Dr. Pearce was cordial and informative. I received an honest assessment of my condition and led me to agree to future surgery.

From my first anxious visit to my first 3 week post surgical visit, I was treated with a very capable, empathetic and knowledgeable staff. They were timely in seeing me at each appointment. They treated me with respect and honored my every question courteously. I never felt as though they were being condescending. I felt as though I could discuss any issue freely with them. Frankly, I felt welcome and at ease. I have enjoyed my time spent with Dr. Pearce and staff. How many people can say that about their doctor visit experiences? Quite honestly, I am very much looking forward to my next appointment. That will be at the three month recall post spinal fusion L4-L5. My results have been nothing short of miraculous. I wish I had sought his treatment years before I did. Can't speak highly enough about Dr. Pearce and Caitlin Kerley NPA. They are a great team and even greater people.

Dr. Pearce answered all my questions that I had and more. He was very caring and professiinal. His staff was the same.

My visit on 3/5/2020 was the final follow up to my neck surgery/fusion of a year ago. Having worked for Dr. Pearce over 12 years, there was no one going to operate on me but him. Having a friend as your surgeon is definitely as good as it gets. My surgery is a 100% success story and I sing his praises ( as well as Spine Surgery Associates).
