Dr. Richard Seefried, MD

After avoiding my cataract surgery for way too long due to being nervous about the procedure, I finally met with, and set up my surgery with Dr Seefried. The day of my surgery, I could not have been cared for any better, by not only the Dr but the whole staff in the surgery department. This includes admissions, nurses, anesthesiologist, etc. They all took the time to explain what they were doing, and what to expect every step of the way. Dr Seefried even explained the steps he was taking during the procedure and when it was almost complete, which set my mind at ease. It took no more than 10 minutes to complete what I put off for about 5 years! I highly recommend Dr Seefried and his staff for anyone needing cataract surgery. I can finally see good again, which is a blessing! The only reason I only give 4 stars is due to the front desk/scheduling staff in the "main office", not the surgery department. These ladies at the front desk seriously need to work on their customer service skills.

I have gone to this practice for nearly 2 decades. I have never been so frustrated and disappointed with the care I received. Doctors are either going to treat you well medically or treat you well with their bedside manners. If you are lucky, you find a doctor who has both. A good doctor with not so good bedside manners is preferred over a friendly person who doesn't treat the problem well. Today I went to Dr. Seefried complaining of vision changes due to a possible eye infection. The vision changes were confirmed by an assistant but never addressed by him. He prescribed some drops for my eye and quickly exited the room. I was so frustrated and disappointed I left determined to find a different practice to care for my eye needs. No more recommendations to this doctor or his practice from me.

I was very satisfied with his clinical knowledge, bedside manners, treatment plan and response.

I originally saw Dr. Seefried on an emergency basis about 10 months ago. I was totally impressed with his knowledge of my situation, how quickly he ascertained what needed to be done immediately, and medications for my eye to use for several weeks. He also saw me 3 times that week to be sure it was healing properly. My eye is now perfect, thanks to Dr. Seefried. I would never hesitate recommending him to anyone else. Barbara Brooke
