Dr. Richard Tobey, DO

Dr. Toby is very through. He has a great sense of humor. When I need a refill on my meds I simply send him a message through My Chart and he takes care of it quickly.

first time seeing Dr tobey, with a referral from Dr Hileman, he came in, took his time, he asked questions, updated stuff, was very thorough, asked me if I had questions, explained stuff, made me feel very at ease, and comfortable, and offered solutions. I would definitely recommend him, was professional, while seeming very friendly, which I liked, and did NOT rush.

Always check with the desk, even if you did the e-checkin. I like Dr. Tobey and his ability to make you feel comfortable. I was an Engineer for my entire professional career. The ability to communicate with and extract information from a person, that maybe a little nervous. We all have lives, and sometimes life will throw a curve ball. Maybe the person has had a difficult week at work. Maybe marital or financial problems. Dr. Tobey has the ability to make a person feel at ease. With that being said, Dr. Peter's was my doctor before I moved here and he also could make you feel at ease. I just think it is a good thing. With all the problems that "man" has created for himself, such as war, it seems nothing has been learned. If you are in my tribe, we don't like the tribe just over the next hill so, grab a rock and a stick. I got to the top of the hill and looked back at my tribe, I looked at the "enemies" tribe. Oh, my god they looked the same as us. Just like the people of Ukraine.

Dr. Tobey spent considerable time with me during my most recent appointment, addressing all my concerns and answering all my questions. He used his computer system to look up my medical history and took time to ask me about the current status of each of my historical medical issues. I appreciate his thorough approach.

Very friendly & explains everything

He listens to you, then asks some questions, then goes over some options. Very straight forward as long as you are the same with him. Very professional and courteous.

Dr Tobey was very easy to talk with, he listened to my problems and needs, and gave me what I needed.

It’s just so hard to make an appointment. Waiting on a nurse to call back is just so incredibly inconvenient. Especially if you’re sick and needing an appointment right away. But also if you’re just trying to arrange your schedule. I have never had this issue with any other medical office. Even other providers at St Francis!!! In my opinion, this practice needs a new manager. A nurse should not be responsible for scheduling appointments. It’s just completely ridiculous. Please hire a receptionist!!!!! I have no issue with the care I received from Dr Tobey and the nurse I had was unbelievably kind and understanding to me which I appreciate greatly.

He is thorough. And he is genuinely concerned about my health and well-being. I speak of him often. He's a great doctor, and a great man.

I’ve really appreciated Dr Tobey’s approach of meeting people at their level. He doesn’t come in the room and speak Doctor at you and often tosses in a laughable one liner joke. This approach has allowed me to feel comfortable in trusting him and his recommendations. I feel I can be more open and relaxed, thus taking in the conversation at hand and directly benefiting from being present in that moment.

Dr Tobey is a very caring doctor that makes you feel comfortable, he also takes the time to hear what you are saying. All in All he is a great doctor.

He is always happy & explains very well what my problems that he thinks are going on. Takes his time with the visit and listens to my concerns & explains them. I feel very good when I leave the office that he has taken the time to do his best to solve the problem.

Dr. Tobey is very thorough in his exam and always answers any questions or concerns. He is very personable, easy to talk to, explains things clearly, and takes the time in making sure all questions are answered. I would highly recommend him as a doctor.
