Top of the line Doctor
This doctor spent a good hour listening to me and a full exam. He offered ideas as possibilities to my medical issues that no other doctor even thought about. He planned future work ups. This doctor does think out of the box and has superb knowledge.

Terrible
Google would be a better and more empathetic doctor. Doesn't listen to your concerns and seems to have little empathy or indication that he cares about you. If you have autonomic dysfunction or POTS all he will prescribe is exercise, a beta blocker and some salt!! Real groundbreaking stuff. Extremely disappointing considering how highly regarded Dr. Barboi is. This guy needs to learn a thing or two from him. Especially some compassion

He did not appear to believe the symptoms autonomic dysfunction causes, and seems disinterested. Also, he said things that make it obvious he doesn't support or believe his boss's( the neurologist he works under) opinions and testing. Absolutely will NOT return to him.

During the testing, Dr Wlodarski was making nasty jokes about a physician colleague (who I happen to know). He tossed off the actual testing to a student who didn't know how to do it, and Dr Wldorski didn't bother to show him how. Makes his patients feel like another piece of meat, not a human being.

Average POTS Dr.
I had a somewhat disappointing experience. After a long 9 month wait, I was expecting to see a doctor that was up to date on the emerging Long-COVID research and had a fairly complete understanding of post-infectious illness including all the systems it affects and the pathophysiology. I do still believe he has a lot to offer those with brand new or undiagnosed autonomic dysfunction, but he still lacks the a foundational understanding of common co-morbidities affecting his patient population and was unable to discuss my current treatments or further treatment options I was interested in. After describing how much pyridostigmine improved my neuromuscular dysfunction & muscle strength he implied that pyridostigmine does not affect muscle strength, which was concerning coming from an autonomic neurologist :l . Otherwise, worth a visit for newly sick or newly diagnosed patients struggling to find a POTS doctor.
