I had hip replacement on my two sides. I am perfectly well. Dr. Basset did an excellent job.

I had my right knee replaced in August, 2019. The final result wasn't what I expected because I have an unusually large amount of scar tissue. That's not a result of the care I received from Dr. Basset and his staff. It just happens sometimes. Other than that, my new knee functions very well. Before the surgery, Dr. Bassett was thorough in his explanations of the procedure, was sensitive to my concerns--not to have a tube rammed down my throat. After surgery care was excellent. Dr. Bassett sent me to a convalescent center. The care was poor. I contacted his office and explained the difficulties I was having. In less than an hour, Dr. Bassett had me moved to another center where the care was very good. Now, I am having problems with my left knee and suspect I will have to have it replaced soon. I definitely will be going to Dr. Bassett for that replacement.

Dr. Bassett is an excellent surgeon. Office staff, including PA are rude and incompetent.

The BEST orthopedic surgeon in the valley. I underwent a partial menisectomy on my right knee for a "whooper" torn meniscus last September 1, 2020. The whole experience was amazing; from the first encounter until I got medically cleared on December 8, 2020. Thank you so very much for taking care of me and for being so skilled of what you do. A very kind, sincere, and compassionate doctor. I am always grateful. Many thanks too to James Dones, PA who assisted Dr. Bassett during my surgery. Also to the office staff who are all very helpful... I would highly recommend Dr. Rick Bassett to everyone experiencing knee problems.

Visited for a hip problem consultation. Dr. Was polite and explained his diagnosis and the treatment options very carefully and answered my questions patiently.

Dr. Bassett is an awesome surgeon! He did my long over due hip replacement, confident about excellent results! I had a full hip replacement, and was up and walking the very next day! He also came to speak with me the morning of surgery, and the two mornings after. Dr Bassett has a surgery process in place that not only exceeds the standards, but his expectation is that every care giver in the process, all the way through completion of healing, follow his explicit instructions.

Never saw me and my knee before surgery. Just before I was to go into surgery had someone come out to resign paperwork because he did not know he was doing a reconstruction. I had no glasses and had an IV IN MY ARM. I had no pain prior to his surgery Just a lump on my knee. Now I have a leg one inch longer than the other. And I am in constant pain. I think the only one tooting his horn is him. He never talked about or looked at my knee. But he did do a lot of bragging.

Had total knee replacement in both knees. Dr. Bassett did a great job! Very professional. Only suggestion is to raise the restroom facility for post-op patients.

Oct 2016. Could not get past the receptionist to make an appointment. Had a femoral neck fracture year and a half ago (3 screws) causing me pain and needed Dr. to evaluate. Receptionist said could not do that since it wasnt the original surgery.

I HAD A TOTAL RIGHT KNEE REPLACEMENT He was very kind and explained every detail. This was a comfortable and relaxing experience. My scar is so thin and straight and hardly noticeable.

I had both hips replaced by Dr. Bassett, done a month apart. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Bassett and his entire staff, including the 6th floor at VBMC. Dr. Bassett took his time at our initial visit to explain the entire process. We were not rushed and all of our questions were answered. We could not have had a better experience anywhere. I highly recommend Dr. Bassett and his staff for your knee and hip replacement needs.
