Patient and knowledgeable
I love Dr. Ashai. She listens closely to my concerns and to my daughter also. We had a horrible experience with a previous doctor and I was terrified of what would happen if my daughter was both on medication but also if she was off. Dr. Ashai listened and took a slow approach that allowed us to find just the right balance. That was two years ago and she has been great since. Just this last month my daughter’s medication needed to be adjusted for the first time since we found what worked and she has been helping us step through it all again only this time, thanks to her guidance, it has been a MUCH easier process. I have seen the other reviews about the front office and have had my share of issues with them. However, they recently joined Bloom Healthcare and I have not had any issues since. Although even if there were still issues, I’d stick with Dr. Ashai because I’d deal with any mess for a doctor as patient and knowledgeable as she is.

Dr. Ashai is good doctor but unfortunately her office is not run well. The staff never returns your calls or the pharmacy no matter how many messages you leave them. It’s frustrating how unprofessional they are.

Some of the other reviews describe her and her office perfectly. She has no empathy or understanding. She isn't able to diagnose issues and instead relies on her patients to diagnose them. When asked for something to help with anxiety, she provided options for antidepressants not anti- anxiety medications. The front staff is super rude and nasty and have no business working in a mental health setting with the way they treat people. The wait is always 20+ minutes

The lack of caring from this doctor and the entire staff is shocking. As a child psychiatrist, she should make sure that our children do not go without their medication, and know that a lapse in medication can lead to hospitalization. Since they do not close no matter what the weather is, I should be expected to drive 45 minutes on dangerous roads because she will not call in prescriptions to cover until they have another opening. That’s not okay.

I like Dr. Ashai, but her front desk staff is horrible. The woman normally behind the window is unfriendly and rude and behaves as if the patients are a bother to her. She is the reason I am actively looking for another practice. I'm giving 2 stars because due to the office staff, I would not recommend this practice. If you're having a rough day or not feeling well, the office staff will make it that much worse.
