Unfortunately, not a positive experience
Unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience with Dr. Kraus. During my annual women's wellness exam, I mentioned that I had been having painful PMS symptoms and would like to get to the root cause without going back on hormonal birth control or an IUD. She was very dismissive and instead only offered medication (birth control, IUD, high dose ibuprofen), which I explicitly said multiple times that I was not interested in. When I asked to get my hormone levels tested to understand if something was wrong, she in turn asked me what I hoped to get out of that lab testing and recommended against it. Upon receipt of my bill, I learned that me asking about my painful PMS symptoms was not covered under my wellness appointment and instead was billed as a separate “illness” and was charged as an expense NOT covered by insurance. Amazing experience
Dr. Kraus was absolutely wonderful. She is down-to-earth, kind, and explained everything about my surgery expertly. She made sure every question I had was answered and I felt safe and respected as a trans man. Her team was also super friendly. So grateful to have her as my doctor!
