Dr. Riley McLean-Mandell, MD

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this doctor. Her technique was aggressive and careless, leaving me with severe scarring and lasting damage that has deeply affected my confidence and well-being. She seemed more focused on proving a point then providing proper care, likely due to the fact that I had seen her colleague earlier that day for a separate appointment that did not go well. It felt like she took that personally and let it influence how she handled my procedure. The whole experience was unprofessional and felt vindictive. I trusted her to provide competent care but instead I am left dealing with the consequences of her actions I would strongly advise anyone considering treatment with her to look elsewhere.

A simple, small mass removal performed by Riley has left me with life changing side effects including pain, tenderness and excessive hair loss due to her barbaric technique. she has caused me extensive emotional pain and anguish. I'm mad at myself for not stopping the procedure when my gut told me what she was doing wasn't right! The pulling, ripping and hacking I can still hear and feel it to this day. She will treat you differently after familiarizing herself with your prescription medication list.

Today I had Moh’s surgery in two spots that was done by Dr. MANDELL. Both spots (nose and chin) were fairly deep but the chin spot was the worst. From the moment I met Dr. MANDELL I felt like the most important person in her professional life! She was kind, witty, attentive and genuinely interested in how I felt and what I was concerned with. I have had approximately 12 surgeries in my life ranging from a simple knee scope to a major back surgery and I can happily tell you that no doctor has ever made me feel so important, confident in her skills and comfortable before, during and after my procedure.. While I don’t wish the need for skin cancer surgery on anyone, I would highly recommend Dr. MANDELL should the need arise. With all the issues and concerns about medical care in the media these days, I was so happy and so lucky to have found such a great doctor who is so skilled yet so down to earth and able to relate to a regular guy like me.

Explained procedure well. Outcome was excellent.

I met with Dr. McLean after visiting two other surgeons. I chose her for her expertise and the fact that she answered my questions without making me feel stupid. I am so glad I did, the result was more than I expected. Although surgery is painful, I am cancer free and the area looks better than it did before the surgery. Thank you Dr McLean

Dr. McLean-Mandell is wonderful. She is highly skilled, as well as personable, kind, and deeply caring. Dr. McLean invested a lot of time and effort to be sure I looked just right for an imminent wedding, taking the time to fit me in the schedule. The office is pleasant, and her staff is attentive, kind and caring. This was an emotional time for me, and Dr. McLean-Mandell came along side, took the time to understand, and cheerfully address the problem. The results are outstanding. I cannot overemphasize her skill and care. I will never go anywhere else

Dr. McLean Mandell is professional, knowledgeable and very personable. I went to see her to assess several moles, and spots that I was afraid were cancerous as I have a strong family history. She treated me with understanding and proficiency . Great bedside manner and followup !! I highly recommend her

Dr Riley performed the halo laser on me and the results were amazing! Even my husband noticed a difference. She also was very calming and took the time to answer all the questions and concerns.

I have seen Dr. McLean-Mandell on a couple of occasions. She is an outstanding physician. Her clinical skills are excellent and her personal manner in interacting with her patients is equally impressive. She listens carefully, assesses the problem you are experiencing, and proposes a treatment plan with an explanation as to why she believes it appropriate. One would be hard pressed to find a physician who better combines professional and personal strengths in caring for her patients.
