She's the most arrogant doctor I have ever met and gave me terrible medical advice.

The best doctor!
Dr. Salani is truly an exceptional physician. Not only did she accept my case quickly due to my cat scans, she’s been an excellent teacher throughout the process. She’s present, kind as well as knowledgeable about latest research. Getting your first cancer diagnosis is a scary experience for everyone and it’s certainly traumatic, but at every step, from inital diagnose to surgery to post op care and into survivorship, I’ve been grateful to have Dr. Salani by my side. Modern medicine itself only allows for brief time-based encounters but Dr. Salani makes the most of that time. If you have a choice to make for your gynecologic oncologist, she truly is the best of the best.

Couldn't have hoped for a better surgeon. Feel so fortunate to have found her. Recuperated so quickly with little pain or complication. Was on about my days (carefully) within less than a week. She is not only skilled, but nice too! Highly recommend.

Get a better doctor! Try Dr. Joshua G Cohen (COH)!
I would not recommend Dr. Salani to any woman who has cancer!! She underestimated the type of cancer that I have (non-HPV Gastric Type Adenocarcinoma of the cervix) and treated me like a typical HPV-positive cervical cancer patient. She was extremely rude and arrogant to my sweet, dedicated mother. Dr. Salani refused to do scans on me during my post-cancer-treatment appointments, claiming they weren't needed for routine maintenance appointments. In the meantime (in March and June 2022), when she proceeded to do a simple pelvic exam on me during my follow-up post-treatment maintenance appointments, she said we were "good". But I wasn't good!!! By July 2022, my cancer had come back and had spread to my stomach, liver, right lung, and appendix, causing my appendix to rupture!!! If we had done scans from the beginning (during the post-treatment surveillance appointments), perhaps we could have prevented this mess!!! Now I have Stage 4 cervical cancer, and am a very, VERY unhappy camper!!!!

I think she's great and would recommend her to others. She answered our questions and explained things so we could understand also gives great examples. She put my mind at ease going into surgery. I had a large mass in my abdomen and she removed it. She found I had ovarian cancer in right ovary. She removed everything that was necessary. My surgery was July 1st 2019. She did an excellent job. I then had 6 chemo treatments and my scans were clear, unfortunately my cancer has returned as she said it could, so I'm now in treatment again. That's ovarian cancer for ya. I'm still so thankful for her and all she did for me. Also liked her hugs and concern for me.

This physician and her pathologist were uneducated and ultimately are responsible for my sister’s death. She did not listen to concerns. Kept saying my sister was such a unique case when in fact she was treating the wrong type of cancer! I wouldn’t recommend her and wish that she would quit practicing so that this wouldn’t happen to anyone else. My sister was 24 and was not given a fair chance to fight for her life
