So caring and thorough
My whole family sees Dr Fares. He is caring and very knowledgeable. He responds quickly and you don’t feel rushed when you see him. He cares about the whole person not just the problem you are bringing to him. So rare with managed care.

Poor communication and sloppy record kieeping
Dr. Fares is a poor communicator and has twice been sloppy with his medical recording and coding, resulting in unsubstantiated denials by medical insurer.

Dr Fares moved to The Vancouver Clinic. He went from having a small practice that was easy to use to the large corporate business that is hard to navigate. Calls take 15 minutes to get ahold of someone. He previously took time with me and did paperwork etc that I appreciate but I will no longer be his patient. I want care and service not to be a number in a corporate structure. If I wanted that I’d go to Kaiser.

Poor Judgement on Medication Management
Dr. Fares was my mother's primary care physician. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and has been taking applicable prescription medications. On the recommendation of a pharma contractor working with the Assisted Care facility, Dr. Fares approved doubling the daily dosage of one of the drugs. This increased the dosage to the maximum daily allowance. The day after the new dosage began, she was taken to the ER Dept three times over a five-day period due to severe symptoms this dosage change created. Even after suspending this drug's dosing, it took several more days for the symptoms to fully cease. According to her chart, Dr. Fares never performed an in-office evaluation pre or post his decision to approve this significant dosing change. His office did request an appointment for her once they became aware of her multiple ER visits. However, given the severity of the symptoms which included a blood pressure of 220, confidence was lost, and a change to a different physician was made.

My go to primary care doc.
Dr. Fares and his staff are outstanding and always responsive. Dr. Fares takes the time to listen and is always available to assist when the need arises. I've been seeing him since he ventured out on his own several years ago, and plan to be his patient into the future with his new affiliation with the Vancouver Clinic.

Dr Fares is a terrific doctor. He’s exactly what you hope for: a careful listener, patient, compassionate and very smart and professional. He takes care of our whole family and has given us excellent care on a variety of health issues. His staff is friendly and professional. I saw this Dr twice and was mistreated verbally before being told to find another Dr. He lacks both skill and tact. Repot abuses by this Dr. He should not be practicing!

I had a swelled toe and he told me it was a wart and I didn't need to do anything about it, but a competent doctor told me it was an infection that went to the bone and I lost my toe. I'm told by the app that what I really want to say "violates the content guidelines."

Wit something g so important like your health and well being, you can do much better than what Dr. Fares has to offer. Simply put he is not intellectually superior to me therefore he was not worth my the visits I had with him. Not enough experience and he did not seem to be an expert in his field by any means.
