I had open gastric bypass in 2003 after the surgery I had many complications from day one. After seeing multiple surgeons, specialists, and a whole host of tests; no one knew what was wrong or how to resolve my issues. I made an appointment with Dr Bell explained what was happening and he immediately knew what was wrong. He knew how to fix it. He explained everything to me and what needed to be done. I felt confident with his knowledge and was pleased with the outcome of the surgery.

I can not recommend Dr. Bell enough. In 2003 I had a gastric bypass. As the years have passed I developed complications. I went to see 14 surgeons. each surgeon told me another story. I saw the local Bariatric Surgeons, then recommendations in New York and Philadelphia. My oncologist told me about Dr. Bell. I met with him and I was convinced I found the perfect doctor. He immediately went on the computer and saw what the problems were. My husband was as impressed as I am. Thank you Dr. Bell

Where to begin? First of all, if you are considering surgery with Dr. Bell... Think twice and do your homework. I wish that I had before I went to him. I was referred to him by my SMG primary doctor who said that I had to go to Dr. Bell or he would not write a clearance letter for me for the surgeon who I really wanted to go to. Of course, the surgery seemed to go ok at first until I had a leak. Then the "kind" Dr. Bell turn into a nasty arrogant Dr. Hyde- his true character.

Dr Bell made me feel so comfortable prior to surgery. I knew I was in good hands. I felt that I could trust him, especially since we discussed the pros and cons of all options and he never made me feel I like my questions weren't valid.

Extremely personable, takes the time to explain everything and answer any questions you may have. His office is well run and I have never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes to see him when I arrive for my appointment. I cannot recommend him enough.

Dr. Bell is an experienced surgeon, who instills a high degree of confidence. He has a warm caring manner, and actually enjoys explaining procedures and answering questions. I was very impressed with his unhurried manner during office visits - he gives the impression that he has as much time as you want to spend answering questions. He and his staff did everything possible to make the procedure easy for me - and the surgery was very successful with no complications. Highly recommend him!
