Dr cicarell is a very helpful doc

I have been seeing Dr Cicarell at the VA Hospital for about 5 years and he always listens to what I am dealing with. Always sees me on time and keeps track of my medications. He is very patient and easy to talk to. Highly recommend.

Dr. Cicarell has been my psychiatrist for a few years. He has always worked with me to attain my goal in healthcare instead of his goals. I have improved vastly and he is an effective listener. I would be disappointed to lose him as a doctor-provider.

Dr Robert Cicarell is my psychiatrist @ the Southern AZ VA and he is great. He is a knowledgeable and skilled Dr of psychiatry who is also caring and compassionate and makes me feel welcome and comfortable. I struggle with some very challenging mental health issues like Bipolar and PTSD thankfully having a Dr like Dr Cicarell has made it easier for me to seek and get help which can be really hard for me to do. He has had some great insights into my meds that really helped improve my quality of life. He also treats me as a whole person in an integrative medicine style. I am always anxious to get assigned a new provider since I have had some really bad experiences in the past. Being an LGBT veteran is tough since not all Dr’s are LGBT friendly or accepting of me and my partner, fortunately Dr Cicarell is welcoming of people from all walks of life including LGBT. I am so thankful to have been assigned Dr Cicarell.

Dr. Cicarell is a very good psychiatrist. He is also very smart. He diagnosed why I was having seizures as being because I was taking too much of one of my antidepressants. Would highly recommend.

He really takes the time to get to know his patients and about their lives so you don’t feel like just another number in the system. He listens to your concerns about medications and always goes above and beyond to try to get you on the right medication and dosage for you, including making sure your labs and vitamin levels are in good standing cause that can effect your mental health too. And if there is ever an emergency with your medications he gets back to you within a reasonable timeframe. Great psychiatrist!

Have seen Dr. Cicarell for over five years...feel fortunate to have worked him...down-to-earth, realistic, no b-s.

Having been diagnosed as a disabled veteran in 1989, I have subsequently been treated at VA Medical Centers in Wilkes-Barre, PA, San Diego, CA and Tucson, AZ. Of the dozens of psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors and social workers who have provided mental health care for me during the last 32 years, Dr. Cicarell has been, by far, the best mental health professional with whom I have met. Dr. Cicarell has a truly professional temperament to go along with his vast knowledge of treating veterans such as myself. Mental health and medical concepts which others I have been assigned to have, at times, not been explained to my satisfaction or to my level of understanding. Unlike the other VA practitioners, this has never been a problem during my appointments or my follow up treatments with Dr. Cicarell. His caring for me, as a patient, has been totally professional and I, as well as the other patients whom he sees are very fortunate to have been assigned to his care.

Dr. Cicarell is an amazing doctor. He always goes above and beyond for his patients, which is rare these days. I am truly grateful for the care and kindness he has given me. He not only addresses my mental health, but reviews my labs and physical health issues that may be contributing to my depression. He has also recommended many holistic remedies that have really helped and pointed out vitamin deficiencies in my lab work.

I normally don’t take the time to write a review, however, I believe Doctor Robert Ciserro deserves to be recognized as a valuable asset to the Veteran’s Hospital in Tucson. Through his genuinely caring, he has helped me to deal with my troublesome past. By doing so, he has lifted my spirit. Dr. Cicarell is an outstanding listener and physician.

I am a client Dr. Cicarell at the VA Medical Center. I have been his client for about three years. I appreciate his approach to clients during our visits. He is causal and easy to talk to. He is insightful and compassionate. I would recommend him to anyone. He also possesses a dry sense of humor which I truly appreciate. (I posted this once, but can't find it in the reviews.)

I highly recommend Dr. Cicarell to everyone who has tried everything else with no luck. He is compassionate and actually listens. I went through numerous doctors and a mental health crisis and he was the first doctor who actually listened, and took everything I needed as well as what I wanted into consideration. He came up with a plan of action WITH ME, not FOR ME, like all of the other doctor's did. You will not find a better mental health doctor! He goes above and beyond other doctors!
