Knowledgeable, caring, attentive
Dr. Cook followed me throughout my pregnancy and delivered my daughter via repeat C section. He is a phenomenal physician with decades of experience and a very caring and attentive bedside manner. I am so thankful for his guidance throughout my pregnancy and for the care I received during my delivery.

Clearly experienced. Didn’t care about me.
Dr. Cook saw me for my 36 week appointment, the second appointment I had at the practice - I had to switch at 34 weeks as a VBAC patient. We had had concerns and questions about the due date, and wanted to address them with him. He didn’t ask me what questions I had so I brought it up, and as soon as I said due date I got shut down. He was physically walking out of the room as I tried to ask him questions. I was just trying to understand something but he treated me like I was being silly for even being concerned. I left that appointment feeling unheard and uncared for. He did not listen to my concerns at all and didn’t care that I had them. Otherwise he’s a good doctor, clearly knows his stuff and had a light demeanor. The last few minutes of my appointment ruined it for me.

Likely will not know your name or state of pregnancy, delivery, etc. without reading your chart. Does not listen to patients or address questions or concerns. Regardless of a doctors experience I believe that questions and discussion are healthy regarding my own body. During the delivery (my first child) I did not see him until it was time to push although I had a long labor and was in the hospital for almost 18 hours. He loves episiotomies, I told him I did not want it and he did it anyways. I had pain for over 6 months after and he told me it was "in my head". My second child they did not do an episiotomy during delivery, I had a small tear and it was much less painful and healed quickly. Positives: knowledgeable, experienced, and I did believe my baby and I were in good hands overall. Does not make up for the negatives and the experience resulted in me finding a new healthcare provider - my experience with my second child at Singletrack Health was indescribably better.

I was in preterm labor with my second child on the 4th of July. The nurses put me in stirrups for a vaginal exam. Dr. Cook walks in the room, puts on gloves and without saying a word shoves his ENTIRE HAND up my vagina. I kicked him. He starts cussing saying I have to have an exam and need to sit still. I was in so much pain at this point that I was now sobbing. I told him he didn’t have my permission and that he hurt me. He stormed out of the room and can’t back an hour later, saying nothing except I was spending the night and would be given meds to stop labor. I didn’t see him the rest of my visit. Thankfully the meds did work and I had my healthy baby a few weeks later, still early but healthy. I will never go back. Shame on Dr. Cook and shame on every nurse there that stood by.

If you know anything about your OWN body and use your voice, you will be treated as if you are incompetent, bullied and disrespected. Don't be surprised if you leave with dangerously high blood pressure just defending your stance. There are doctors who care about their individual patients and he's not one of them.
