Dr. Robert Garret Cynar, MD

I saw Dr. Garret Cynar at Inspire Health - Frisco. After a 2-day sleep study, he diagnosed me with moderate sleep apnea. He told me CPAP was my only option. I am a young, newlywed female under 115 pounds. Naturally, I was suspicious. I was referred to a CPAP company. After multiple appointments and consults, I told the company and Inspire Health that PAP therapy wasn't working - I felt no different. I requested my sleep test records many times and was denied. When I finally obtained the records the results showed I did not have sleep apnea. To confirm, I got another sleep study done - no evidence of sleep apnea. The amount of time, money, and emotional stress I spent from this misdiagnosis was ridiculous. This doctor and company just wanted to bill for follow-up appointments and PAP therapy. I do not recommend this practice or this doctor if you life transparent, honest, and professional care.

Dr. Cynar works hard to “hear” what I’m saying! He actively listens and tries various approaches if one treatment method isn’t getting the results we’re expecting. He spends the necessary time getting the information, actively answers questions, sometimes asks me for my preferences and tailor’s my treatment to make it as comfortable and effective as possible. He’s got a quick wit and I feel extremely confident and looked after in his care. He’s an excellent Primary Care Physician and also Sleep Specialist. I see him for both specialties and highly recommend him!

Dr. Cynar is very professional, through, and caring! Dr. Cynar writes a note in he portal to summarize each appointment, and is very good communicating the plan of treatments along with posting a quick note to let you know the results of a specific tests. I had an ultrasound on my heart and he sent a quick note to let me know the results and told me not to worry! I 100% pleased with the care, recommend him!

Dr. Cynar helped me solve a problem that's been plaguing me for years...obstructive sleep apnea...it was affecting my health severely. I'm a combat vet and not amenable to having a mask on my face. Dr. Cynar helped me get through the sleep studies to see what was wrong. Once that was done he helped me deal with more than just sleep apnea. Long story short, I can sleep again for the first time in decades. I feel 20 years younger. It has been life transforming. I would recommend him without hesitation.

It's rare to find a doctor who really tries to fully resolve patient concerns. Dr. Cynar ordered a full battery of tests, including a sleep study, and provided me with a comprehensive treatment plan. He never seems rushed, listens attentively, and talks through each of the options very clearly. I highly recommend him as a primary care physician.

Caring, excellent rapport centered compassionate plus knowledgeable Sleep Doctor. Dr. Cynar is bridging my narcolepsy with cataplexy, rls medications until the Mayo Clinic can see me in May.

Dr. Cynar is great! After recently moving to the area I needed a new primary Doctor, and found him for some reviews. He’s quickly helped me with my insomnia and a couple Other issues I’ve been trying to solve for years. Any negative reviews here are misguided. The clinic is great, does blood work and shots on site, and the staff is very friendly! Don’t think twice, you’ve found your Doc!

I am an RN and familiar with medical practices. I have been looking for a great family practice physician to coordinate my care with specialist physicians. Yesterday I found that physician in Dr. Cynar. I am totally impressed. He has a nice “bedside manner”, is knowledgeable and thorough. He engaged me in a team approach to my healthcare. I believe I am in good hands with Dr. Cynar.

I have been a patient for 7 or 8 years and my health is better than it was when I first went to him.
