Great doctor, horrible staff.
Robert and his daughter are wonderful doctors, their other staff, however, are not. They do not answer the phone, they do not check messages, and they're unhelpful as can be on top of an arrogant and unwilling attitude. They cannot send e-scripts in a timely manner and always have something nasty to stay. Robert should get rid of them and replace them with people that are driven to help others, not themselves exclusively.

I have been to Dr. Gattuso on several occasions because I had fallen and had to have ER bandages redone and stitches removed. I was totally pleased with his care and warm mannerisms. He was not only interested in my cuts but was very interested in my whole being which is something I have found very lacking in some.. I will never hesitate to go back to him.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Gattuso since 1991. There isn’t enough room here to list the reasons why we believe he is both an exceptional person and doctor. Not the least of which is that he saved my husbands life. I am retired from GBMC and know many physicians. Unlike some, Dr. Gattuso “knows” his patients and treats the entire person. 5 star doctor. ??

Dr. Gattuso seems fine. He takes time to discuss stuff, listen, and answer questions. I did have one issue with his billing service where they lost a payment, and then quickly referred it to collection. Luckily my bank had the cancelled check and backed me up on it, and I was able to resolve everything after a dozen phone calls and a couple strong letters to his payment processor and their collection agent.

If you have kidney issues and choose to see Dr. Gattuso question every medication that he prescribes. Ask your nephrologist if it is a medication that kidney patients should take. Please remember that your kidneys are major organs and some medications can harm them. In addition, when you have bloodwork done, don't assume that everything is all right if he doesn't call to tell you otherwise. Always ASK what your creatine level is. Lastly, make sure your diagnosis is indicated in his records.
